Re: Something I'm sure everyone has been looking for:

If Mike Sellers is what Reskisn football is all about, we are in for some really tough times.

In six seasons with the Skins, Sellers has been in 92 games; he's carried the ball 14 times for 54 yards. That's 21.1 INCHES per GAME.

In those six seasons with the Skins, Sellars caught 49 passes for a total of 392 yards. That's 4.26 Yards per GAME.

Mike Sellers is a good - but not great - blocking fullback and special teams player. But let's not get carried away thinking he's in anything more than that because he isn't.

49 catches but like 12 touchdowns. So about 4 per catch. If he got the ball more often. Let's say 100 then he'd have about 25 TD Catches!!!!

Mike isn't a RB or a WR, care less about inchs per game! As a 260lb FB he steam rolls over players whenever he's on the field and blocks extremely well. OUTSTANDING on special teams, going after opposing players with a killem attitude......THATS A TRUE REDSKIN....NEED MORE PLAYERS THAT CARE AS MUCH AS HE DOES!

Re: Something I'm sure everyone has been looking for:

the inches per game thing is kinda miss leading since he is usually only used on short yardage and goal line situations where getting a few yard can be just as critical to the outcome of a came as busting a long one. Who know if he'd be successful as a featured back but he's certainly a successful blocking and pass catching fullback so dont discredit mike...he's my brothers namesake god damn it

Re: Something I'm sure everyone has been looking for:

I have always liked Sellers and was sorry to see him go the first time around. From what I understand (and according to Sellers' himself), it was good for him to go because he has come back a better, wiser player.

He is one of those guys who just seems to make plays when he gets a chance. Not saying he is a superstar or an essential player or even that he should have a larger role (but why did we trade for Duckett again??), but it would be nice if the Skins had a few more of Seller's type guys as back-ups and role players. He seems to have chilled out on those killer unsportsmanlike penalties.

Anyone got the clip of him leveling Dawkins a couple years ago? I will NEVER get tired of that one!

The Redskins have never given Seelers a chance to be anything more than a blocker or a Special Teams standout. His productivity is low because they do not run plays for him to get him the ball, not because he isn't very good. Sellers is a big/physical football player, which is more than I can say for the other TE's on our roster. None of other TE's are the blocker or physical presence on the field that Seller is. I was not happy with the blocking of our other TE's.

I was also disappointed when we got TJ Duckett because Sellers had stepped up in preseason when Portis got hurt. Sellers got some extra carries and he was productive. I would like to see Sellers get the ball more as a RB in preseason and see what he can do.
Your comments about Sellers are misplaced because Sellers has never been given a chance to be productive. The Redskins would not be in for rough times if Sellers was more of a presence.
