McIntosh

I don't get it, why is this guy still benched, the season is over and I dont care if his preformance is wose than my grandma, we invested alot in him, we should give him some experience and a chance to grow. My only possible theory (besides that Greg Williams escaped from the looney bin) is that Williams is trying to motivate McIntosh, my coach benched me for five games straigh after 3 years of me not missing a second on the field because he thought it would make me work harder, and it did, and I havent smelled the bench since I started working harder, and I also improved alot.

Re: McIntosh

He got some PT on defense vs. the Eagles and I guess he'll get more and more plays each week. He has been such a stud on special teams I can't wait to see him on defense.

Re: McIntosh

I think if he was going to be any kind of starter he'd have been playing regularly by now.

Re: McIntosh

They asked GW on redskins post game about McIntosh.
He said he played in the second quarter but after that he felt like he couldnt risk any rookie mistakes.

Yes, better make save those rookie mistakes til next year, since without experience, he'll still be a rookie.

Yeah I am tied of that crap. Guys need to f*cking play to really learn a scheme. If the guy has any ability he needs to be playing.

Is this a sign of GW just not having confidence in the D overall? Is he coaching not to lose?
Notice how little we played straight man to man this year. And what's up w/the cushion CR gives recievers? Somebody on here said that it was up to Rogers himself to play off the recievers that far. Doesn't seem like GW would tell him to, makes every route a second or two quicker.
I hope we see Rocky more on sunday and I hope his lack of pt doesn't mean he sucks!

Re: McIntosh

I think we pretty much have to assume that the Kid can't play...at least in the eyes of GW, otherwise, we'd see him being worked into the regular rotation, instead of seeing warrick holdman get dominated 3 out of 4 plays. sad but true. While it is possible that this is another case of GW's ego making sure the highly touted rookie is put in his place, i doubt it as Rocky was only a 2nd round pick, and I haven't heard of him mouthing off or not buying into the system (which is paramount to GW).

I think it's too early to say he can't play. I think what happened is they got in a game situation and they want to win and don't want to deal with mental mistakes. I don't think Holdman makes mental errors. Holdman seems to be in the correct position most of the time. He just get's beat at the point of attack. He also doesn't seem to be a disruptive type of player either. After the season I would think that Rocky is number one on the depth chart. But if Holdman comes back as the starter......... wait. I don't even want to think anymore bad thoughs.

Re: McIntosh

Rocky either stinks to the high heavens or GW is being super over protective of him. The way they approach the LB spot in the offseason should help shed some light on things.

I heard about this kid...being from FSU, and the fact that I have heard about him, means others have too. Is he a top 5 LB?
