No one should go...

Isn't that a bit what the problem is now? Shuffling players and personnel in and out so much, that the team nor the coaches can really develop a chemistry with each other. I believe that there shouldn't be any major shake ups, just some changes here and there (Like CB for the love of God) and that for the most part things stay the same. So that the older players can teach the newer ones and so that Al Saunder's Bible doesn't look like a bunch of random chicken scratch to everyone on the offense.

Everyone pretty much knows what the major problems of this season were, so fix them for next season. Instead of the whole, "kill 'em all and let god sort it out" method, of getting rid of everyone and starting over and pray that your high priced players live up to their paycheck.

Only Saunders needs to go. Gibbs made a mistake

Re: No one should go...

Gibbs isn't missing tackles, blowing coverages, making rookie mistakes, completing a better pct. beyond 15 yards than he is under 10, or getting hammy injuries in pregame warmups.

He merely watches as GW's D fades back into the abyss as quickly as it emerged.

I think Gibbs taking the offense out of his hands was a big mistake, but Al Saunders is still a good offensive mind. Getting rid of him would only complicate the problem. At this point the way to fix it is patience.

Defensively however, I don't know what the best solution is, but if we don't see improvement soon, those so called defensive "leaders" may have to go.

Funny how after every loss someone wants someone fired or cut.

Relax, stop with the knee-jerk overreactions.

Re: No one should go...

I agree with this thread, as far as the coaches are concerned. Some players need to go, IMO.

Re: No one should go...

I only wish the skins would stick with what works. 2 drives of pounding the ball and a nice long pass and we are up 14. The next drive they call the fade to Moss. Close but out of bounds. Ok call. Then it's a friggin reverse that is crap from the snap. They are gashing the D line for 5+ a carry and try to finesse the D? Of course it gets sniffed out. Then 3rd an long and then a punt. It's all down hill from there. When you are pounding the ball down their throats, forget the stupid gimmick plays!

Re: No one should go...

After reading what all the "Gibbs Must Go" sayers had to say, it's nice to see someone here has the ability to make a rational decision. I agree wholeheartedly with this thread because obviously you have taken the time to think things through. I will agree there needs to be some changes made in areas of the team, but I don't think the whole team including the coaching staff needs to be blown up because we're going through a trying season. What amazes me the most is, the very same people who complain all the time about changes, are the very same people who, everytime we lose a game (or two) immediately start talking about change, firing, getting rid of, and this one, or that one has to go. Sometime form reading some of this stuff makes me wonder if some of us are really Redskin fans, or imposters.

Re: No one should go...

By Saunders' second season with every team he's coached, the offense was a fine tuned machine. This season is lost, but don't make wholesale changes for the sake of change. Can we allow young Jason Campbell to keep a coordinator for more than one season? That hasn't happened for him since high school. I always felt that the biggest reason Arrington never realized his full potential was a new defensive coordinator virtually every season he was on the Redskins. Let's try to give this group more stability.

Campbell will be a good QB next season because he (and his team) is taking his lumps right now. Al knows how to keep QBs comfortable. Give him credit for that. Jason needs to learn when to check it down. Most young QBs struggle with that concept.

It was a mistake to hire him and would be even a bigger mistake to fire him.
