The Ultimate Meltdown - Episode 2
I know I shouldn't be laughing my ass off but I am nonetheless. The star? Michael Richards aka Cosmo Kramer. He loses it and loses it in a big way.
edit: Just to clarify I am laughing at the stupidity of his remarks. It's funny in a sad kind of way.

Re: The Ultimate Meltdown - Episode 2
I was just getting ready to post it. TMZ.com has the video from the crowd, but I would only watch it at work if you have headphones because it's quite a rant.
The sad thing is, he sounds like he's dead serious. It wouldn't be okay if he was at least trying to be funny, but I really don't think he was. He's lucky he'll keep getting those Seinfeld checks because I can't imagine him getting much more work after this thing really blows up. Maybe he'll blame it on alcoholism.

Re: The Ultimate Meltdown - Episode 2
He's a loser--was lucky that Seinfeld and co found a place to use his talents.
My buddy interviewed Richards while working for the NY Post--he told me the guy was a complete pretentious dick, who thought he was the funniest guy on the planet. When my friend asked him about Kramer (this was just after Seinfeld ended and Richards had a new show--a total flop), he got all mad and said How dare you ask about that, I'm an artist, etc. And now we see he's a racist as well. What a loser. And I liked him on Seinfeld.

Re: The Ultimate Meltdown - Episode 2
I heard on Fox Radio this AM that some stations were pulling Seinfeld from their lineup. If that happens no more roralty checks, and alot of college students will be mad.

Re: The Ultimate Meltdown - Episode 2
I read this on MSN and at the end of the article it says he appologized and "made amends".
I still like his character on Seinfeld, that shits funny. |

I can't believe he didn't catch a beat down, considering he was in LA... it was funny seeing the mass exodus of people during his breakdown...

Re: The Ultimate Meltdown - Episode 2
His apology is coming up on the Late Show with Letterman. Apparently Jerry Seinfeld basically encouraged him to apologize. Encouraged probably being a euphemism for reminded him why he was famous in the first place

Re: The Ultimate Meltdown - Episode 2
Boy he didn't look good at all during Letterman. And Seinfeld was pretty pissed that people in the crowd were laughing throughout thinking it was funny.

Re: The Ultimate Meltdown - Episode 2
I do believe Mr. Richards' license to safely walk on 75% of NYC has been revoked and that percentage is nearly 100% at night. For his own safety I highly recommend he stay away from Oakland, DC, ATL, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Richmond area. Basically, anywhere where black people with guns, knifes, and baseball bats are likely to be. And whatever you do, don't go to LA...ever!!

As for the audience laughing, Richards induced that laughter. I'm not sure if you can blame them.

Re: The Ultimate Meltdown - Episode 2
Quote:
First, you have to think that many of the people in the audience are tourists who had probably been walking around NYC all day long, and therefore hadn't seen the news or Access Hollywood or whatever. If they weren't aware of how horribly he acted they might just think it was a joke, maybe making fun of the Mel Gibson thing or something. Second, they may have seen the clip, and therefore they felt really uncomfortable to be in the audience listening to him talk about it. Lots of people deal with really uncomfortable situations by laughing or whatever. Third, this is still the guy who played Kramer, one of the most beloved goofy TV characters ever, so they may be having trouble seperating the character with the jackass who played him. I don't know why they thought it was funny, maybe they were laughing at how pathetic he's become.

To me alcohol is never to blame, it just brings out your thoughts and emotions. A drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts.
