Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation

I just heard him on the Dan Patrick show, he said he was talking to someone inside the Redskins organization and this person told him that they pray for Mark Brunell every night because the other two guys "can't play".

I'm not sure if this conversation he had with a Redskins insider took place during the preseason or was just recently, but either way it made me a little uneasy to hear it.

Re: Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation

I dunno. When I hear "someone inside the Redskins organization" I feel like someone is grasping for straws. It could be the waterboy, the trainer, an accountant, anybody. If he said, "A prominent figure inside the organization." or maybe an player that wishes to remain anonymous, I'd feel differently.

Not only that, someone WISHING for Mark Brunell? I don't know how much stock I take in that.

I guess at this point it really doesn't matter. The good part is now we can see what we have in JC and if he's not the fix we have off season to find a new QB.

Campbell was seriously running for his life behind that line this preseason. Sure, he was playing AGAINST third stringers, but if you have that kind of pressure, you're not going to do a whole lot as it is.

He said it was someone high up in the organization... maybe Vinny?

Re: Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation

Ah, why'd you have to tell me that?!

Regardless, I don't see how any SANE person could say they were praying for Brunell. Maybe it was the HEAD accountant.

Or maybe the other two are that bad, if that's the case we are in big trouble.

Re: Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation

What the HELL is going on over there at Redskin park! I'm blaming Snyder. It has to be him and his meddling ways!! He probably made everyone sign a contract saying they weren’t allowed to discuss his involvement in the team! Grrrrrrrrr!

well, I guess I'm insane like the rest of the Redskins then!! They were praying for him to improve so no one would have to take his spot!
