Bench Rogers
I can't take it anymore, this guy blows! How many times can he give up the first down, on a third down play he plays 10-15 yds off the ball, guaranting the wr a catch for the first. If he cant cover, get someone in there who can.

Re: Bench Rogers
Is it me or is Rogers playing really solid football. Sure, he got beat once or twice, but hes also made some big plays this game. Preventing catches and showed some real progression..
Our defense in general gave up one bad TD (Sean Taylor) and one Fluke TD (whcih would have been incomplete had Buckhalter not been in the right spot. This is on our offense.

Re: Bench Rogers
Who would you rather play? Wright? Jimoh? Rumph? Carlos "the Cushion" Rogers is bad, but we don't have a better alternative.
How about Taylor? Taylor is living off of reputation right now, he's looked awful in coverage and racks up more penalties than anyone else. |

Re: Bench Rogers
is it really Roger's call to give that cushion??
NO WONDER Brunell must look like a super hero in practice.

Re: Bench Rogers
I can't say Rogers has played solid football. I'd like to see him play up close to the receivers a little more and not give so much cushion.

Re: Bench Rogers
No, leave his ass in to LEARN to play in the NFL. Given that the season is over anyway, why not? ANd I agree that it's not his call about the cushion. That happens becuase we get beat several times a game for HUGE plays. And we have no pass rush, so we can't risk having those guys up on the line. QBs just have WAY too much time. ANd it was Taylor, not Carlos, who got toasted on that double move. Carlos had a few good deep covers (one on Stalworth in the corner of the endzone), and a few good hits. The trouble was his cushion, and that, I am sure, is part of the scheme designed (unsuccessfully) to take away the deep stuff.

Re: Bench Rogers
They have no talent at corner, and Shawn Taylor played like shit. He has played bad all year long, along with Rogers, wright, Rumph, and Archuleta.

Re: Bench Rogers
SPirngs isn't bad and Carlos is learning. Taylor had a tough game. But we have NO pass rush at all. Any secondary is going to look bad without a pass rush. Not to mention that Cinncy, for example, gave up what, 50 points?
Play better with what ya got. Except at QB, where it is ovbvious that we get nothing at all from MB.

I agree with you. Who in the hell is going to replace him? Frickin Jimoh or Wright? Give me a break. Those two can't cover my mother. And I'm not even going to mention Rumph. He's still picking up his jock from the Indy game. And they should think about putting Taylor at linebacker. He plays better around the line of scrimmage anyway. |
