Wilbon knows the deal..."If You Don't Play the Kid, How Do You Know He Can Play?"
I understand die hard Redskin fans, I am one. But I don't understand the blind faith in Brunell.

Re: Wilbon knows the deal..."If You Don't Play the Kid, How Do You Know He Can Play?"
Well, I assume he can play based on his college production with 4 different offensive coodinators. Guys who bust tend to have two things in common.
a) they didn't start that many games in college b) they completed a relatively low % of their passes in college Campbell was a 4 year starter who's completion % improved steadily over time in the defense-dominant SEC. He's going to be a good QB at the pro level. But he has the slow learner label and you don't want to rush him. This team is still trying to win games now. And even if you put him in now and he struggles with an argueably inferrior football team to the one he will be QBing, you still don't know if he can play.

I understand we are trying to win games. But I have a news flash....we aren't going to win the Super Bowl. We will be extremely lucky to make the playoffs.
Should we wait until preseason next year to see if he's good or not. i don't think so. It turns out the Gibbs made a deal with the devil (brunell) and of course is fulfilling his end of the deal. Unfortunately, the devil is not holding up his end. |

I remember a 4 year college starter named Heath Schuller. And I think we drafted a QB named Ramsey.
Experience in college doesn't make you a player. |
