Jon Jansen Injured?

I hate to start yet another thread, but in a tribute to kidwell, I will anyways. Did anyone notice that Jon Jansen was walking with a severe limp after Novak's game-winning field goal?

I also surfed the net and looked at another Redskins-fansite and saw an interesting thread. A Redskins fan saw Jansen leave the stadium and noted that Jansen looked like his ankle was really hurting.

Any information on the matter would be appreciated.

He is a tough guy and I would be willing to bet that he is right next to Thomas on Sunday.

This definitely worries me.

Nothing I have seen on this. This is the guy that played with two broken thumbs. Toughness has never been a question. These guys are perpetually injured when it gets to be this time of year. Portis never looks completely healthy to me. Ditto our two defensive tackles. Sometimes I think those guys are held together with bailing wire. I'm sure he'll play. Sucks though because quickness is a must against Philly.

A lot of guys get beat up every week and are visibly hurting as they leave the stadium.

He may show up on the injury report, but I expect him to play in Philadelphia.

I haven't heard anything about Samuels, but it's hard to remember a time when he has not been knicked up in his career.

Yo......go to redskins.com and watch "the play," which is Novak's kick to win the game.........watch Jansen come out on the field and celebrate. He is, without a doubt, limping severely.

Put him in a boot for the week...take it off on Sunday. He will be ready to go. I HOPE!

Re: Jon Jansen Injured?

While on the subject of Jansen, did anyone read the Parcells interview where he said Jansen isn't the player he was a few years ago? While it was good to get the win that silenced Dallas yesterday, I think Parcells comments do hold some water. Jansen is getting beat by the bull rush a lot more frequently, much like Samuels.

Re: Jon Jansen Injured?

I'm sure Gibbs will address it today. Hopefully he's ok.

Re: Jon Jansen Injured?

we saw raymer turn to crap before our eyes a couple year ago, so i suppose it's possible. he may having been playing injured for a while without saying anything about it too. either way, it's obvious our run blocking was sub par this week.

Re: Jon Jansen Injured?

Gibbs said in his presser that Jansen had a partially torn calf, but wouldn't come out of the game.

I missed the presser today... partially tear my calf and I'll be in the freaking emergency room stealing morphine from dying people...

Hats off to that guy, and I hope he heals up.
