Then why are you in an area that is for non football related topics?

Re: the Democrats fundamental flaws...

off-topic still generally is supposed to be void of most poltical banter... not trying to be a dick...

just saying it will not result in elevated discourse

someones feelins will get hurt, someone will drop a slur of some sort.. it just gets ugly

PM me if you want to discuss politics privately, as I do not mind, but generally speaking here on the board, the trend has been less politics, more football... even in off-topic.

I did not realize that...I'm just trying to enduce intellectual discussion, not cause trouble.

You've been on this site longer than I have (Well I was here first but was gone for a while) so you're probably right, although I hope you're wrong.

That happens everywhere though. Some people don't have the mindset to not cause trouble.

Thanks for the invite...maybe I will some time. I love good political debate.

I was a poli-sci major for a little while and love politics, but I just know that no-one will change there perspective from anything they read hear. It's not the right audience.

Love the ambition, just not the right place.

If it is, I apologize. I did not realize that. I figured there is no section for political debate, so this must be the section.
If that is indeed true, then moderators, please feel free to close these threads.

On a personal note, hooskins, try a little patience man. Not everyone here has the time and energy to read everything on this site. First you told me to shut up for no good reason, now you say "what part about that do you not understand?". You know, not everyone here is ready to attack, some people here just look for intelligent banter.

You make a good point. As a general rule, I enjoy your debate even though we don't always see eye to eye.

Did you not clearly attack Rob before? You are only being hypocritical while accussing me of attacking, when you are just doing the same thing. I could go on with intellectual debates, believe me, but this isn't the place.

You obviously did not understand something by posting this thread.

And finally the forum guidelines are about half a page, and are linked in the locker room. It is shorter than some posts, and would take 2 minutes of your time. I do not feel not reading that is an excuse.

I cut and pasted this for you:
2. Perhaps the most important guideline of this forum is this, please treat your fellow forum members with the utmost respect at all times, NO EXCEPTIONS. Remember that there is a real person behind that funny screen name. Personal attacks will not be tolerated. If you cannot voice your thoughts and opinions with respect and thoughtfulness towards your fellow forum members, please find another forum to post on.

Very true. If I read those guidelines, Iwould not have posted these threads. I work 12 hours a day and have a very weird schedule which is why I am up at this time of night, but then I won't be online for 2 or 3 days. I only read about 2-4 threads a week...that's all I can devote my time to.

Thanks for telling me...I read them...obviously from the quote above.

again...patience.

Moderators, like I posted in the republican thread, I apologize for these threads, I was not aware that political discussion was not allowed.
