Unfortunately IE. I'm in the IT world and have always worked in a Micro$oft shops, so it makes my life much easier to have the same technology at home as I do at work.

Matt, I'm playing with Mozilla. Very reminiscent of Netscape Navigator which I had and used for years at home.
I'm liking it so far. Do you have anything to do with the Dev team? |

Netscape man myself.
It shows what is standard whereas IE see "new unadopted" code and "interpets" bad cod to make page come up like something when Netscape would show an error. As a web developer I'm amazed at people who don't check their sites in other browsers. Some sites built in IE will just crash a Netscape browser. Good question peace

Problem with Netscape is the build each new version from scratch. So one version of Netscape MIGHT work for a site, whereas another won't. Netscape is definitely the bottom of the barrel in my book (no offense!) I'll have to check out Mozilla. Too many spyware/etc programs sneak in through IE holes.

You may want to check out lavasoft's (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/) Ad-Aware. It's a good way to keep your system clean.
Also Panda Platinum has a good AV with spyware spotter. |

IE all the way!!!
I have used Netscape, Mozilla, and Firefox as well. I run XP Pro on all my comps, and IE seems to be quicker and more reliable for me than any of the others. I agree with Daseal, Netscape is crap. Netscape is basically Mozilla and I think Netscape just tried to become too feature rich which ended up bogging down their software. Firefox is nice because its just a browser like IE, but is not as quick as IE. As for the security holes in IE, if you're a responsible internet user who knows what you're doing, you'll have no problems with it. Keep your firewall and antivirus stuff up to date and you should be fine. And by 'up to date', I don't mean every 6 months. Also, I doubt you get any spyware through IE, daseal. If you use Weatherbug, AIM, etc, those software packages come packaged with spyware. Check out the EULA. Ad-aware is a great tool. As for me and my computer, we shall use the microsoft.

http://www.lavasoft.de/ When you run a scan, set up the options to run a "Deep Scan" (I think that's what it's called). It will remove possibly harmful objects from your registry as well as any SpyWare .EXE's that may have been surreptitiously installed on your hard drive. Also, never never never (and I mean never) install WeatherBug. That thing is just a can of worms!

Call me a nerd, but I wrote my own 'weatherbug' that uses the same information source as the real weatherbug, but without the ads or spyware of course.
