Colts are the deciding factor.
Everyone already knows theat if we lose, we are pretty much gone for the rest of the season. This game will determine the rest of our season. If we can beat the Colts, then we go into the bye week with confidence and hopefully an attitude that we are for real. They will doubt the doubters. (us). If we lose, then the remainder of the season is a tune up for the future.. Mark Brunell will probably not be the Qb, which is okay, he did his best. He at least brought us back to a super bowl caliber team, but because his carreer is near the end, Jason Campbell should start. We have the toughest schedule in the league so Campbell should get "thrown into the wolves" let him get a taste of the regular season. Keep portis runs going, because you never know what could happen, keep everyone together and pretty much use the bye week as a whole new season. If Brunell does well against the Colts and we win, stick with what got you there, but if we lose, back to square one, and start new. Sorry for the rambling.

Re: Colts are the deciding factor.
This is the NFL (Not For Long). Anyone predicting that any teams season is over at week 7 hasn’t been watching this game long enough.
The skins were 4-0 and went on a slide last year. I am not holding my breath, but with 9 weeks of ball left, I wouldn’t count anyone out or in.

Re: Colts are the deciding factor.
The season is far from over, even if we lose to the colts. Brunell remains the quarterback after the bye regardless.

Re: Colts are the deciding factor.
The Colts are not the deciding factor. They are a piece, no doubt. We need to build on something this game, win or lose. Now, to say at 2-5 we are in the playoff mix is a push, BIG PUSH!! The deciding factorS are the games we have left against our division. We still have two against the eagles, and home games against Dallas and NY. those are the deciding factors. if we can take care of our division games, and win the remaing home games, we should be in the mix at the end of the year.

Re: Colts are the deciding factor.
if i see a solid effort from the defense this week to give me some hope, ill feel a bit better. as it stands right now, my thoughts are the redskins have like 10% chance of making the playoffs or worse. the offense hasnt been "horrible", but should put up a fe wmore points. if the defense can start playing with some regularity, and maybe upset the colts, we have a chance if we can get some guys healthy ove rthe bye.

Re: Colts are the deciding factor.
The deciding factor will be the remaining conference games. Skins still have to play the entire NFC South and 4 Division Games

Re: Colts are the deciding factor.
We are facing the best, or second best team in the league. We are facing a high octane pass offense, and we are currently TERRIBLE at the pass. So, the bottom line is, we need to treat this as the biggest game of the year, right now who cares about the conf. games. Maybe that is our damn problem, we justify the hell out of everything, and we as fans have been trying to justify the Redskins faults by maiking excuses like "its not a conference game." If we don't win this week against the Colts. Then kiss us goodbye, now in saying that, I hope everything I have said is thrown back in my face, and we go undefeated the rest of the year. Good news in the conference is now everyone is focused on Tiki Barber, not T.O. Not The Eagle, or how incosistatn the Skins' O is. Hopefully people write us off for the year, and we prove them wrong. With Joe Gibbs, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. GO SKINS'

Re: Colts are the deciding factor.
All is not necessarily lost. The Colts are ripe for an upset, so why can't we be the spoilers? It's not impossible, if this team plays up to its potential. I want to see them come out angry, spitting fire, letting it all hang out, because the season hangs in the balance.
If we win, it could be a real turning point. If we lose, I feel that, psychologically, the team will give up. As much as I've don't like Brunell, I will be one happy Skins fan if he somehow pulls off a victory. |

Re: Colts are the deciding factor.
I agree, the Colts are due for an upset, and the Skins' are a team to do it. We have the talent, and if the offense is rolling we can keep up with the Colts. I dn't think all is lost, I think that this is the biggest game of the year. Beating the Colts and then going into a bye week is just what we need at this point.

Re: Colts are the deciding factor.
this game is the season, as far as I'm concerned. win and possibly live to play another week. lose, and put a fork in the skins, they are done

Re: Colts are the deciding factor.
Absolutely.
Is there anyone who can rationally tell me at 2-5, we can come back and make the playoffs? |
