opinions of the MNF crew?
I really liked the MNF crew. Theismann and Kornheiser seemed to have a much better rapport than they did this preseason. Still, Joe seemed a little reserved to me. I thought for sure he would have said that Taylor was a marked man when they were talking about the possibility after the bogus roughing call he drew. I hope Joey T. hasn't toned down his opinions for MNF.

Re: opinions of the MNF crew?
I thought TK was cool. Perhaps as the season progresses, he will learn to stand up to blabbermouth Theismann a little more.

I was in a bar, where even with the sound up, I couldn't hear them. Oh well...

Re: opinions of the MNF crew?
They seem like the "B Team" to me. I'm not impressed and will watch the rest of the season to the Radio with Sam, Sonny and I wish Frank.

I guess they've only showed 2% of what they're going to do this season. Give them some time.

Re: opinions of the MNF crew?
I think they are going to be great! They all seem a little reserved at the moment. The honeymoon thing I guess. When TK gets rolling, he's a funny SOB.

Re: opinions of the MNF crew?
I thought they were okay. A lot better than I expected. I think Theisman a Kornheiser both did a good job of not displaying any bias towards the Redskins. They seem to call a good game throughout. We'll see how the rest of the season pans out.
On a side note, that scoreboard in the bottom center is now starting to get to me. There were a few times when it blocked the field action. Back to the top right (or left) corner with you!

Re: opinions of the MNF crew?
For those that grew up in the DC area isn't it crazy to see what Tony K and Wilbon have become? I mean growing up these were just the local newspaper columnists and now look at them.

Re: opinions of the MNF crew?
Yeah, I couldn't be happier for them... what I like about these two is that they have extensive journalism backgrounds- I can tell when Tony was a judge on that ESPN reality show (finding the next anchor) that he knew how a journalist is suppose to think during an interview, etc... Didn't Mike also go to Northwestern? That's a great school for journalism too...

Re: opinions of the MNF crew?
the crew is terrible...they are some of the worst announcers i have ever heard
they should have just kept the same guys from sunday night last year (even though theismann is still there, but he was probably the worst one from last year) and why do they have the stupid scoreboard right in the middle of the screen...its supposed to be in the top corner...it pisses me off

Re: opinions of the MNF crew?
I have to agree with Matty and say that the trio has gotten better by leaps and bounds. I don't know what did it, but they were awful in the preseason and great last night. Tony is definately starting to fit in.
All that being said, I enjoyed ESPNs old crew with Joey T, Paul, and the other fat guy. |
