Question Where was Cooley???

No love for Cooley? They need to respect his skills and get him the ball more. The majority of the plays were blocking plays for him... The two passes he got were very short passes, with no chance to run after the catches.

Re: Where was Cooley???

How about where was Brandond Lloyd, T.J. Duckett abd Rock Cartwright? It seemed like Saunders wanted to turn the game into the Randle El show and came short up to his last catch.

Cooley looked a little out of shape. After the open field tackle by Smoot, Cooley seemed nonexistent.

Re: Where was Cooley???

You guys forget that Min. has a pro bowl safety in Darren Sharper who was probbaly matched up with Cooley most of the evening down the field. He will be a big part of this offense.

He'll get his touches. We've got alot of guys to get the ball to. There's going to be weeks where some guys are bigger targets than others.

Re: Where was Cooley???

what happened to that seem pass straight down the middle of the field to the tight end? it was used against the ravens and the patriots and got nice gainers both times.

Re: Where was Cooley???

I don't think he was out of shape, I think he bulked up during the offseason (muscle mass, not blubber).

Re: Where was Cooley???

It's called a LB with a Saftey over the top. He wasn't open alot from what I could tell last night and they certainly were not trying to get the ball to him. This week, he will match up well with the Dallas safeties and if we can keep Brunell upright Cooley should be a big part of the gameplan.

Re: Where was Cooley???

From today's skin's news:

"The Redskins continued to tweak their early season roster, signing tight end Todd Yoder to the active roster, the team announced on Tuesday. "

I wonder what impact this will have on Cooley's role on the team??

Re: Where was Cooley???

It's kind of strange to say but we have so many weapons now that it's inevitable each week (especially if it's a loss) that we'll have a "Where Was (insert name)" thread.
