Re: Defense - Training Camp Roster Predictions
I see 24 Offensive, 3 ST, 26 Defensive
QB-3 RB-3 FB-2 Nemo vs. Lumsden- can talent and no NFL level time land him above PS? WR-5. Jacobs gets cut/or traded to Eagles TE-2 Having 2 quality guys, and all these weapons could be the only time Gibbs will have only 2 TE's. Ortega to PS OL-9 . Since there is no dominant backups they will need able bodies for insurance.** could slip to 8 guys if TE Otega is a ST contributor or decent blocker. ST-3 Defense 4 DE-Carter/Wynn versatility makes this easy. Evans is solid. 5 DT- CG, Salavae, killings Mont,Golston ** Golston is expendable to PS if Skins need an extra roster spot likely his or an OL will be used first. 8 LB- Havener makes it and simon is PS. 5 CB- Patterson vs. Morton 4 S- Reed makes it. Having Prioleau gives added coverage to depleted CB depth. It is a shame that all this extra talent and potential isnt at the CB position making it even more of an ideal dilema. |

Re: Defense - Training Camp Roster Predictions
r johnson has a better chance of making it to the real roster than ortega.
we may only keep 4 DTs with another on PS... ideally they'd want 9 DL, 9 LBs, and 9 DBs, but with wynn being a DE/DT guy this year bosch may be gone for good, with golston on the PS. lumsden is probably on the PS and could be the #3 RB next year after betts goes away. I have a 5min clip of 2005 lumsden highlights, and he is 6'2" 224 4.4, which is fairly impressive... of course the highlights only show good plays and the CFL has much less talent in it. OL is probably only going to be 8 with 2 on PS. they tend to go light there. I do believe we'll see a 3rd TE for blocking (johnson). I also think at least 3 guys that should be kept or put on PS will be cut cause the talent floor here is MUCH MUCH higher than 2 years ago and there just aren't enough spots. |

Re: Defense - Training Camp Roster Predictions
Don't forget Aki Jones at DT. If we keep 5, it could be Griffin, Saleve'a, Killings, Montgomery, and Aki Jones with Golston on the squad.

Re: Defense - Training Camp Roster Predictions
Aki is long gone.
KFFL - Aki Jones, DL, Free Agent Players I'd like to see them bolster the OL/DL with guys to bang around. As long as they keep basically the whole LB core together I'll be happy. Yeah if Johnson is on your good chart then cool, more the merrier. I just like talking about the depth everywhere it puts a smile on my face. |

Re: Defense - Training Camp Roster Predictions
Rather funny to see Aki Jones name thrown around like he would even step on the field. Holdman starts the year at linebacker. Rocky and Havener are the next Kaufman and Coleman. They are stacked on D-line and defensive backfield. I agree with Doc Walker the only weakness is O-line depth.
