Pretty soon we'll have more defensive backs than hot dog vendors.
I hope not. |

I dont see why, do we really need another huge contract and a disgruntled player?

Gee 5 agents since 1999, and he wants out of a 5 year deal after 2 years. Do you think these are signs of a possible personalty problem?

He can stay in GB. We dont need him here. We have enough Dbacks to last us till 2010

WE NEED DLINE, NOT DB! This should be clear to everyone.

Although McKensie is a solid player, we have Fred Smoot and Shawn Springs and Rashad Bauman and we also signed Walt Harris, remember.
We have to start saving our draft choices because the days of signing tons of expensive free agents are going to be on hold for awhile I would think. |

It depends on what McKenzie would come for. I don't really view Shawn Springs as the answer at corner, I'd like to think that he is, but I have my doubts about his health. As for Walt Harris...he can play some mean nickel back, but there's a reason he's never really stuck anywhere as a starter. Rashad Bauman is still a few years away from really being a threat to anyone in my opinion. I don't think McKenzie would be the worst idea, I do agree that it's overkill, but if we could get him cheap I think we should go for it.
That said, I do believe the corners we got are good enough and that we should focus on the D Line. Unless we can get McKenzie for about a mil a year (I know it'll never happen btw) we should pass. |

He's guaranteed triple that with GB. He's looking for a huge pay day. We don't need him or his salary.

Mc Kenzie is very good fellas. He is better than Springs at this point and Walt Harris he can cover one on one. Springs is not a real shutdown corner at this stage in teh game, but Mc Kenzie is. We need another D-lineman that's true but with the LB's we have we cant afford a big time d-lineman unless we lose this year alot and draft one. You can't have everything.

Better than Springs? I'll take Springs over McKenzie any day. Springs is a gifted CB - you just gamble and hope he stays healthy.

I think I'm going to wait and see how Springs does before I rate him...but I don't think we need another huge contract...especially another DB...

I think we should have made Springs contract heavily incentive loaded.
