Offensive Line Stability

Pasquarelli has a piece about O-Line turnover that got me thinking.

For the first time in a long time, our team will be starting the same five as last year, under the same coach as last year. I was (by and large) happy with the performance of the O-Line last year. We had good numbers because of their consistent efforts. Anyone else ready for a season where everyone knows exactly what to expect out of the guy next to them?

Re: Offensive Line Stability

One injury to the dymanic three (Samuels, Jansen, Johnson) could absolutely damage the season. I sure hope Buges has some people ready to step up WHEN the injury happens. It will happen unfortunately and hopefully its not a major injury to one of the starters.

Though I certainly hope we go injury free, I don't expect it to happen. What the FO did this year was shore up depth with Mike Pucillo and Tyson Walter, two guys with mulitple positions and starts to their credit, and kept Jim Molinaro for depth. No team goes much deeper than eight on the O-line with experienced players, so you takes your chances.

Re: Offensive Line Stability

After the hiring of Saunders, I think this is the most important aspect to our offensive improvement. Everyone in the media is gaga over the Cowboys but their line is in for major turnover which MAY improve it. The games are won in the trenches, and the Skins OL is gonna be tough to beat this year.

LOL

Can you imagine? You're playing linebacker, and behind the sea of offensive and defensive lineman, you see the head and neck of the left guard like a girraffe's head peaking above the leaves of a tree. You come around the edge of the defense and you meet face to chest with a pulling Big Unit.

LMAO

More than anything, I just remember how his face could barely fit inside his facemask.
