Was anyone else at the WCW Smackdown at MCI back in 1998 (I think that's what year it was)?
Two of the funniest "sports" moments I've ever seen in person happened there: Goldberg, who was a huge up-and-comer at that point, speared some Mexican dude in a skeleton custome and seriously injured his knee, but they didn't stop the match; and Sting joined the NWO by 'ripping' off his t-shirt to reveal a NWO shirt underneath. It was funny because he couldn't get the shirt ripped in half like Triple H in that Man Law commerical, until he remembered that the pre-cut part was at the bottom. I used to be so into wrestling in the late 90's that it was sort of sick.

I think the Iron Sheik is running for some political office in Maryland, if I remember correctly
