Re: Undrafted free Agents
(incomplete, but here's some names i like)
QB: Erik Meyer (bengal) ... Drew Olson (raven) ... Bruce Eugene (saint) RB: Andre Hall (buccaneer) TE: tim day (bear) WR: Drouzon Quillen (6'6" 4.5 left early to support family) ... Martin Nance (bill) FB: Matt Bernstein (lions) C: Pat Ross (seahawk) OG: Adam Stenavich (panther) ... Troy Reddick (backup only, not a good run blocker) ... Rob Smith OT: Derek Morris ... Seppo Evwaraye (panther) ... Donald Penn (viking) ... Ryan Gibbons (needs serious weight room work, great at the 2nd level though) (jaguar) DE: Brandon Guillory ... Mike Kudla (steeler) LB: kai parham (cowboy) ... freddie roach (patriot) ... David dixon (had a 161 tackle season before sitting out 2005 to academics) ... brian iwuh (jaguar) ... anthony trucks (buccaneer) ... Dale Robinson (colt) ... spencer havner (redskin) ... jimmy cotrell (raven) CB: anwar phillips (saint) ... dion byrum (bears) ... eric bassey ... Chijioke Onyenegecha (redskin) ... Darrell Hunter (cardinal) FS: Dwayne Slay SS: Greg Threat (136tackle season) (falcon) ... chris reid (falcon) P: john torp (viking) here's more on dixon's 2004 season, its CRAZY (5 punt blocks in one year?): National Junior College Athletic Association All-American first-team selection...Added All- Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference first-team honors while attending Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College...Rated the best linebacker and third-best overall prospect in the junior college ranks by Rivals.com...Started every game at strong-side outside linebacker, but also saw action in the middle...Led the junior college ranks with 161 tackles (112 solos) and 43 stops for losses of 133 yards...Registered 8.5 sacks for minus 57 yards...Had two interceptions for 45 yards in returns and a touchdown...Also deflected one pass...Caused four fumbles and blocked five punts, returning three for 81 yards in returns (27.0 avg)...Also gained 306 yards on eleven kickoff returns (27.8 avg) with a long of 78 yards. i know his competition sucked hard, but he might be worth a waiver. |

Re: Undrafted free Agents
Charles Gordon, CB, Kansas and Anwar Phillips, CB, Penn State are two of my top 100 guys who slipped all the way through. If we need CB help, sign one of these guys. Gordon can be the Shawn Springs replacement, he's that athletic. Phillips has a low ceiling, but could be the nickel for years to come.
The Tight Ends were drafted bare, so if we are unsatisfied there, we may have to look around the league.

Re: Undrafted free Agents
Kudla is a guy we should get. He's undersized, but has the strength and explosiveness to stay at DE in our scheme.

Good work, guys. THanks.
Kudus to That Guy for quick and excellent draft coverage! Way to go, man.

Re: Undrafted free Agents
we sell out every game...
Also, Greg Lee made it through I think. I don't particularly like him, but he was supposed to get drafted...

Re: Undrafted free Agents
Greg Threat is a good player. He led the Canes in tackles with 136 two years ago. He started a few games as a freshmen, spent time in the secondary with Taylor.
He didnt start last year though becuase of our freshmen kenny phillips, whose quote on quote a combination of the best aspects of taylor and reed put into one. Being second to a him doesnt mean he wouldnt have started for most teams. We dont need a safety, but hes someone to keep an eye on.

Re: Undrafted free Agents
Wisconsin FB is on That Guy's list and I pray we get him. I've seen a lot of the guy and while he's not very versatile or fast, he's a great lead blocker. Wisconsin has had a great running game despite a lack of a strong passing attack. I've seen Bernstein level so many guys and make space for Brian Calhoun where none was available that I'd love to see him back up Sellers.
