Can't say you didn't see it coming...

Re: Brown released

Hey, say what you want about him, but he saved the day in Arizona last year. Granted, he couldn't have done it without the blocking of the special teams, but his touchdown return could have been the reason the Skins made it into the postseason.

Re: Brown released

They will bring him back if something happens to Randel El and he can't return kicks. This is not a shocking development by any means.

Re: Brown released

I doubt that they would waste a roster spot on him again. We would see Santanna and Thrash returning kicks before they wold bring him back to fumble for us.

That hole was the size of Samalia, I could have ran through it. But I still loved the kisses to the sidelines, and that was a huge huge play for the 2005 Washingotn Redskins.

You're right, without that play we might not have made the postseason or gone on that incredible run.

Re: Brown released

nooooooo, i liked him. He was just so good at the scrimmage . I always had some hope but i guess there are just to many short fast beasts on this team and he is by far the worst.

Re: Brown released

If they're still planning to keep Thrash, then there was simply no room for Brown.

Re: Brown released

Thrash has his own parking spot because of his special teams play, of coarse they are going to keep him around.

Re: Brown released

Actually, given his speed, has Jacobs been tried on PR or KR duties? I know it's not the same as scrimmage duties -I tried returning punts in practice a few times and it's not easy!

I just think that Jacobs has skills that if you can afford to keep him on the roster as a fallback guy, maybe he's more valuable than Brown? I know he has never shown much during games, but the one thing I noticed when he did appear is that he didin't drop many balls thrown to him. Brown was a true butter fingers.

Re: Brown released

Jacobs will remain a Redskin. He will see limited action with Moss, Patten, Lloyd, Randle El. But I think unlike last season we may keep 6 wr's. Can't see letting Thrash or Jacobs go this season. As for Antonio Brown I wish him well. I'd hoped he'd see Redskins glory, but instead he blew kisses to the fans at ASU stadium. At that moment I was happy to see the game turn around but knew this guy wasn't a real Redskin. Unfortunately he is too much of a liability on kick returns. He can't really even fair catch without the possibilty of fumbling. And you don't think Gibbs made sure that dude was ready for Sundays? It was gonna be a great story, maybe he'll end up in Buffalo with Royal and Bowen.
