Sean Salisbury

i was watching espn this morning and they were asking him how the TO signing with the cowboys. they asked does this make the cowboys a super bowl contendor he anwsered yes this puts the cowboys the best in the nfc east followed by the giants and eagles. So is he saying the skins are going to better this year than last year. I just think that they are looking at us as overpaying for FA's like in 2000 and will have the same results. Two factors to dicount this are the FA's we have signed this year are younger and can be molded in the type of players we need. and the 2nd factor is we have gibbs now. I just cant stand salisbury he is hating on the skins. if we would have signed TO they would be talking about how big of mistake it was.

So he said the Cowboys will be best in the east followed by the Giants and Eagles? Does that mean he has us in the cellar?

He is obviously still embarassed from last year. He has zero credibility from other people in his industry so who cares.

Re: Sean Salisbury

Looking at these teams as they are "on paper" and putting us last is stupid.

Last in the NFC after a successful playoff season??? This guy is an idiot as we all know. And even if he doesnt think we will be first in the NFC East(We will), how can he have us last behind the EAGLES and GIANTS?!?!...wow....

Re: Sean Salisbury

Wow, that comment is absolutely brutal....this guy has no clue. TO will make the Cowpukes better, but not a leap to number one in the division....no respect!

Re: Sean Salisbury

DEJAVUE...
I caught that too this morning...it seems as if no matter what we do we start every season as underdogs. Last year after starting 3-0 no one mentioned us as a playoff team...we proved them wrong and it appears as if we'll have to do the same thing again. As far as I'm concerned we're the undisputed NFC East champs...I can't remember the last time Salisbury said anything worth listening to.

Re: Sean Salisbury

The cowboys in my opinion are the worst team in the NFC East. There defense is mid level, nothing exceptional. There offense in my opnion will be average too. Terrible o-line, no running back, and no quarterback. The Giants i believe still present the greatest challenge as the eagles i think will be strong again.

Re: Sean Salisbury

i would like to know, "in what ways did the redskins get worse"? if he thinks the skins are gonna be at the bottom of the east. during the season and after the season all the mediots were saying that the skins needed another reciever to help moss, the skins needed a true, pass rusher. well the skins fixed those problems and also upgraded the punt return unit, the safty position and the TE position but yet some how the skins are gonna be worse.
i just don't get it but thats fine, it's fun to prove all the mediots wrong.

Re: Sean Salisbury

whatever let him say what he wants. There are valid arguments for any NFC east team to win the conference.
Eagles- Last year was a fluke blah blah blah. With a healthy McChoke they will be back to super bowl form
Redskins- THe receivers they got will only make them better. They were close and this pushes them to super bowl quality
Cowboys- Adding TO will allow this team to be good enough to win the division
Giants- They won the division last year...

There are going to be lots of predictions with some with us at the top and others with us at the bottom. THe NFC BEAST will be a dog fight this year.

Re: Sean Salisbury

People can say what they want, but all the teams in the NFC east are good this year. Any could win the division. With that said, it will probably come down to injuries and which team is best able to adapt when the injuries happen.

The skins have proved that they are the best in the division with respect to fielding a quality team week in and week out in spite of injuries. Now, we have great depth at WR,DE,RB,QB,TE. With each other team, you can lose one guy and be seriously wounded (TO, Manning, McNabb). I just don't see that as the case in DC.
