Eagles sign Barber

Well I have to say that Arrington isn't going to the Eagles with Shawn Barber signing. So if he wanted to get in to the NFC east it's the Giants or Boys.

How the hell did the Chiefs let him go? They need all the help they can get on D.

In theory, they were supposed to have a better defense last season. They picked up a bunch of guys (e.g. Kendrell Bell, Sammy Knight, and Patrick Surtain, and Derrick Johnson). I don't know if they improved at all, but they certainly weren't a force.

Re: Eagles sign Barber

I am more convinced than ever that a good scheme with dependable players gets you at least a top 15 ranking which would have helped them make the playoffs. They gotta get a Coordinator with a clue. Maybe Herm can turn them around but I don't have a ton of confidence in him. He's a rah-rah guy who never got too much done if you think about it.

Re: Eagles sign Barber

Wasn't Barber on IR for most of last season and hurt and played sparingly the season before? Barber was an Eagle for a season before joining the Chiefs. He's a Richmonder so I've kept an eye on him always wishing he'd come back. But honestly he might be available come training camp. GL to Barber, FXXK the Eagles!

They might be cheap but what they have been doing has worked. We have spent a ton of money and where did it get us. I think the Eagles will be a tough team again this year and we will need to keep improving to keep up in our division. We can win our division this year but I think our Eagles games will be alot tougher this year.

Re: Eagles sign Barber

you cant really argue that being a cheapass works or doesnt work. there are people who spend and spend in FA and it benefits then but its also quite obvious that even though the eagles have spent and spent, how many trophies do they ahve to show for it? zero.

we were fairly fiscally responsible last year and we have the playoffs to show.
