Veteran QB to Replace Ramsey on Roster

If PR is traded per espn.com http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2359635

Then who do you guys envision Joe bringing in. Here is my list of possibles
UFA's
Jeff Garcia - Lions
Shaun Hill - Vikings (UofMD)
Josh McCowan - Cardinals
Todd Collins - Chiefs

RFA's
Sage Rosenfels - Miami (Ironic)
Sennac Wallace - Seahawks

Honestly, Josh McCown if he doesn't command a huge price. He might not be a vet, but he seems like a good option if Campbell were to be a bust.

at somepoint you just have to play campbell. we have too many needs at other positions and too much invested in campbell to let someone else play for him. bring in a vet.minimum guy to be 3rd string.

I'd say if Gus is out of Miami, bring him back. he will be relatively cheap, and he is serviceable. He helped miami, a horrible team, win a lot games towards the end of the year. He wont lose games if he is forced into action. And with our D, that is what we are going to need.

I say Sage or Collins. Sage has been here, Collins knows Saunders. Neither will break the bank.

You draft some bum to be the 3rd stringer. Campbell and Brunell will be 1 and 2, and I'm not even sure which one will be the starter. Unless you're talking minimum salary, I don't want a veteran for the #3 role.

There are many teams in which the vet is the #3 guy. I dnt think it will be a big prob if one is, just need to make sure they are not asking for too much money.

Still with Minni....I would bet they try to keep him. What if, God forbid, Dante doesn't heal fast enough or takes another shot in that knee?

Donte isn't going to be w/ Minnesota next year. He is going to be traded.

McCown was showing some promise in ARiz before Denny pulled him. Only 26, could be a steal w/some potential & is probably much better than ramsey.

Apparently you do not remember Gibbs from a previous stint. If Brunnel goes down you need a vetrean to Back up Campbell. This is what he has always done.

What about Antoine Randle El? Kills two birds with one stone. Besides if we have to go to the 3rd string qb the season will be over. How many teams have gone far with a 3rd string QB?
