That's pretty wild that they used little old us for their link!

Pretty amazing - and a testament to Crazy Canuck's hard work.

Crazy Canuck, my official kudos to you. You know you're going big time when your cap sheets are being referenced by major news outlets. Way to go, man!

Re: NFC East Breakdown

derrick frost absolutely sucked this year. If they call that an exceptional year, i wonder what they call great years by the best punters in the league. i would also hate to see Rock Cartwright go to Philadelphia, i seriously hope we resign him, because i think we would be very good at running back with Portis, Betts, and Cartwright heading into 2006.

Re: NFC East Breakdown

As far as Frost goes, the wrter may be basing his assessment on Frost's net average, which I'm guessing was okay because of stellar coverage. They had our teams only ranked 14th, though so who knows. I believe our two need areas are WR and O-Line. Many people want a stud DE, but I think Williams allows us to save money by staying the course. As for the rest:

Dallas: Parcells needs to revamp his O-Line and decide on who is running back is going to be. Bledsoe is too mistake prone to pass as much as they did. An improved running game makes them an instant threat. I think their defense is more than adequate to make them a playoff team. The article implied that their punter may stick around but I'm not so sure. Remember the stare he got from Parcells after he shanked one at FedEx? Then again, Parcells was doing a lot of staring that night. I think Dallas will be the second best team in the East.

Philadelphia: Some have described them as a "model" franchise but I think their reign as NFC powerhouse is over. A healthy McNabb gets them out of the cellar but cannot return them to form without the explosive presence of Owens. Westbrooke is a better receiver than runner and I don't believe Rock Cartwright will leave Washington for the type of money the Eagles are likely to offer. Most NFL writers don't have a clue about Rock which is perhaps an indication that front-office people are on to him and will go after him. I would like to keep him, but we know we can't keep everyone. Overall I think the Eagles will have to play more next year like the Redskins have the last two years. That is, avoid the big mistake offensively, and hope defense can keep you in it at the end. I also think Trotter is past it. Any OC that watches film closely will quickly see how easily he can be exploited. His Pro Bowl trip is inexplicable to me.

Giants: I think their season was an aberattion. Their defense is horribly overhyped. IMO, Strahan has been overhyped his whole career. Their most potent defensive weapon is the New Jersey wind. Offensively, I am not convinced that Eli is out of the woods. His mechanics got WORSE not better as the season progressed. He has a bad habit of throwing off his back foot which sharp DCs (like GW and John Fox) exploited at the end. Plax was a good pick up but he does not look like a leader to me. Tiki was impressive, but he can't do it by nimself. Most importantly, though, Tom Coughlin has not shown that he can control his emotions. If he can't be a more steady leader, the players will tune him out. IMO, that happens this year. New York is not a fun place to have a melt down.

Re: NFC East Breakdown

there are going to be undrafted punters that could give us 5-7 more yards on every single punt... frost has got to go. tupa or a new guy, but not him.

grats on being linked btw.

Re: NFC East Breakdown

If I remember correctly, Derrick Frost also saved a game with a tackle when coverage broke down. While the Skins might do better in net yardage, the kid has courage. I'm not totally displeased with his year.

Re: NFC East Breakdown

frost is pretty athletic for a punter, but the problem is he's below average at kicking as a punter.

Re: NFC East Breakdown

Frost, exceptional!! are they kidding. His stats look ok because one, he generally was punting from midfield. If he had to punt from the 30 or in, he avg about 37 to 40 yards, maybe not all the time, but a good portion of the time. he stunk when we needed a big punt. The Eagles are still dangerous. McNabb, Westbrook, and a decent offensive line. Plus the D is pretty good, although it is getting a little old and slow. The WR position is something they will upgrade, but because they usually have extra cap space they can be players with any WR in free agent market. The G-Men are going to be good again. The defense played well, Eli will have another year, Tiki is playing his best football, plus you have Burress, shockey and a young offensive line. The Cowboys are going to be the team that slides down. They are getting older and older on the offensive side of the ball at key positions. QB is done, WRs are old and done and they dont know if Jones is the answer at running back. On D, they have two really good ends, and pretty good DTs. LB are in need of upgrading, and pretty decent secondary. They will have a good D, as usuall, but will not be able to score.

NOW the SKINS!!

going to bowl, NUFF SAID!!!
