For Real-Real and for Play-Play: Super Bowl Style

For Real-Real:

Ben Roethlisberger - For being a second year player who threw two EXTREMELY costly interceptions, he showed poise and made plays when he had to make them. He managed the game effectively and got the ball to his playmakers.

Matt Hasselbeck - As much as I hate this cocky asshole, he is going to be a star in the league (if he isn't already). Granted, he has the benefit of one of the better offensive lines I've seen in a while (which I get into below), but he throws bullets, is accurate as hell and makes surprising plays with his feet.

Seattle Offensive Line - Talk about giving time for Hasselbeck to throw and Alexander to run. Thank goodness for the rest of the league that Hutchinson will probably be somewhere else next year.

Pittsburgh Front Four - Seattle hardly TRIED to run up the middle and if they did, the gain was minimal.

For Play-Play:

Shaun Alexander - I've never seen a more soft-running pansy of a running back. Enjoy your MVP and touchdown record because you were the 100% product of a great supporting cast, offensive line especially. I nearly vomited when the announcers marvelled at his talent when he just RAN BEHIND HIS LINE. He didn't make any tough moves, didn't make any cuts. If he didn't have Jones and Hutchinson, he wouldn't have had half the TDs he did.

Mike Holmgren's Game Plan - It started off sound and then for some reason, he quickly got from it.

Matt Hasselbeck's Audibles - Your coach called the play. RUN IT.

Super Bowl Commercials - Boring.

Re: For Real-Real and for Play-Play: Super Bowl Style

lame:
- pre, post and half time shows
- a game which was steelerbowl and not really entertaining or competitive
- the weak smack and stupid tories for the last two weeks (matt was in a van and someone dinged it with a soft wooden object! call the bomb squad)

I agree with the above though. Shaun is a bit awkward and the whole leadership thing is completely unnatural to him (and he danced around the sidelines of the skins game like a fruity moron), so i have no doubt that they'll let him go.

The ends of both halves were atrocious - they had no clue what they were doing.

For Real-Real:
Steeler fans are gay. I am at school right now enjoying one of my off periods in a senior lounge and my friend the steeler fan has been running around school like a little giddy girl today. HE is still dressed in black and yellow and still looks like a ****ing bee but now he is carring a hand made sign that reads something like "simply the best in the league" and he lists all of the 8 games at the end of the year. He is screaming and yelling and acting like a total d-bag. Who the **** walks around with a sign? A sign. He painted part of his face. WHY?? I am never gonna hear the end of this. Seriously he has lost his damn mind. We are walking around and some kid is wearing a giants hat so he just goes off and yells some incoherent shit at him and they don't know eachother. FOr real-real he is gay.

I can't listen to him. Its not fair. I want to win the Super Bowl.

Re: For Real-Real and for Play-Play: Super Bowl Style

Look, I am not a fan of Seattle or Alexander, but I dont think you can say hes soft or just a product of a good offensive line. They guy has been one of the best RB in the NFL over the last 5 years. 1800 yards! that is pretty damn good, no matter what kind of offensive lines you have. Plus, the guys scored TDs, which is the name of the game.

Now, put him in a division like ours and see. Granted he plays against rams,cards,9-ers twice a year, but they are still NFL teams. I am glad the steelers one for Bettis, and Hines Ward(pretty cool dude) I do think seattle is going to be a team that has another few years of super bowl contenders.
