Arrington should sue Poston seperately for the 6 million. Its not really a union issue as much as it is simple fraud, malfeasance. Maybe they could have it out on Judge Hatchett.

But serously, Lavar should have done what Ethan Albright does. I hear he negotiates his deal directly with Mr. S. No agents.

What it comes down to is this, Arrington's beef all along should have been with the Postons not with us. His inability to admit that he screwed up hiring these 2 clowns lead to a lot of hardship between both sides, it will probably be the final nail for his departure as a Skin.

big contracts are much more complex cause they're longer term and cause of all the bonuses, cap considerations, and CBA considerations. Self representation takes a lot of time and intelligence (TOO much for big deals, massive market research and analysis, researching the team's cap situation, finding other teams that might want you etc etc). With min deals you can get away with it cause its pretty cut and dry... no bonuses, no pro bowl incentives and the money is set by the league, so there's no guess work.

I love Lavar but if he actually thinks the Skins maliciously removed a bonus from his contract with the intention of having him sign it without knowledge of them removing the bonus then he is crazy as bat sh%t. A 6.5 million dollar bonus is HUGE. I think the FO is a lot of things but I don't think they are frauds. I think Dan Snyder is a lot of things but I don't think he got rich and bought the Skins by being a dispicable lying asshole. That's not good business and defrauding your best player and friend(at the time) makes 100% zero sense.

The issue here is that the 6.5 million bonus either never existed in terms of the Skins agreeing to it or it was removed during negotiations and the Postons simply forgot or misunderstood. They didn't read the contract so therefore THEY defrauded their client and THEY are responsible for making sure their player knows what he is signing. It is all about intent here and it goes beyond what is reasonable to think the Skins would have done something so underhanded. The Postons screwed this up and the NFLPA filing a grievance is the first sign that someone also thinks that. Hopefully they get booted. Good riddance.

I would say that there was probably some miscommunication about the bonus when they where restructuring his contract. The skins did not enclude the bonus and Lavar thought the bonus was part of the deal. So it all goes back to his agent in the fact that he did not do his job in reviewing the contracts details before he had Lavar sign it. If he had done his job this would have been worked out before it was signed and it would have saved alot of grievance between the two. His mistake has realy hurt two parties Lavar and the Skins because it has brought in a lack of trust between the parties.

What makes me think that this thing is just off the wall ridiculous is the fact that Arrington thought he should be getting an additional 6.5 on top of his 68 mil? This guy is so overpaid as the contract sits it's not funny, let alone another 6.5 mil. what a waste of money.

Actually I believe the NFLPA caps agent commissions at 3%, with talk of lowering it to 2.5%. Certainly not chump change at all, but not as much as youd think!

Perhaps this process to initiate disciplinary action was initiated at Arrington's request? As an act of good faith towards Snyder and the Redskins organization?

Arrington knew the Postons were at fault for failing to properly review his contract, but he nevertheless took their side thereby alienating Snyder in the process. Now he wants back with the team in 2007, the only way to do that being to make amends with Snyder. So what's the best way to get back into Snyder's good books? Admit he was wrong to side with the Postons in the first place and go after them through the NFLPA thereby vindicating Snyder and the skins organization.

I think it's a moot point, considering that he hardly played much in '05.

It'll be interesting to see what the Skins do with Lavar in the offseason. I don't think anybody will want him at his current salary (therefore LOW trade bait..), but I also feel that a lot of teams WOULD want him at some price.

the 1st thing a normal person looks at is whats next to the money sign. lavar's agent is a dumbass and this needs to be settled NOW if there is any hope of renegotiating his contract in the future.
