The Spitting Ejection

I dispute the ejection for spitting with all my heart. There is a tacit exchange of blood, sweat, and tears the entire game between these guys. Is saliva all of the sudden out of bounds?

I couldn't tell when Taylor spit on Pittman, but I can tell you when Pittman clearly hit Taylor in the face. The fact that Pittman continued unpunished after clocking a player is stunning.

Well, they always get the guy who hits first or in this case, spits first.

No excuses for ST, spitting in guy's face is dispicable.

Re: The Spitting Ejection

like i said in the other thread
----
i honestly didn't see anything. I do however think it is was possible that while yelling a little bit of spit flew out his mouth. I just didin't see anything. You got to be a stone cold mother ****er to spit on someone and not even move. His head didn't jerk forward. Spit on something go ahead in anger. your head has to move. it has to. But Sean is one stonned cold mother ****er

It is an automatic ejection, but from all replays, it appears only the ref, Taylor or Pittman truly know what happened.

Re: The Spitting Ejection

Well if no replay clearly shows it, I doubt the league will suspend him as it will be word against word against ref's word.

He was stupid to be in Pittmans face like that anyway, so I have little sympathy for the penalty etc. today. But a suspension would be OTT. And I entirely agree Pittman shuld have been penalised for retaliation.

I think Gibbs will suspend him if the allegations are true.

Re: The Spitting Ejection

As you guys have stated i didnt see any spit come out of his mouth unless it came from doing all that shit talking back and forth like you guys said. And if someone spits in someone elses face you will normally flitch close your eyes or some kind of reaction first before you swing. i dont think he spit and im sticking to that.

Re: The Spitting Ejection

If ST is out next week, I think we lose the game. Taylor helps out so much in this style of "D" and we can't have him watching from the sidelines. I hope to God we have the whole "D" on the field (minus Wynn of course). Go Skins!

Re: The Spitting Ejection

I do not believe ST spit on the Guy..... I think heat of the moment both guys Smack talking and the the other guys reaction and the Ref's overreaction caused this Total BS!! Why would the the other guy also be thrown out for swinging!!

Re: The Spitting Ejection

If you look clearly, you can see Pittman's head moving back and to the right. BACK AND TO THE RIGHT! Just kidding, but I'm perfectly willing to accept the fact that the ref saw ST spit on Pittman. The zebra crew today was unbelievably good....count the number of calls that went in our favor today..Marcus Washington's fumble recovery, Edell Sheperd's TD negated.

Taylor made a bone head play, and deserved to be ejected. This wasn't a late hit or a face mask, this was bad. No matter what he did earlier in the game or in the past few weeks, ST HURT THIS TEAM TODAY. ****er! We were lucky to win.

Re: The Spitting Ejection

i was going crazy. i think its all crap. when (and IF) a guy spits on someone, he cocks back and launches one. ST didnt show any signs of intentionally spitting anything. I think he was yelling and spit out some food or something. Total crap...they wouldve given Tampa anything they could....

Re: The Spitting Ejection

The ESPN crew was talking like he could possibly be suspended for next week, which could potentially cost them the game. As I said in the other thread, it pisses me off that he was well behaved all year, that acts like a dumb f--k in the playoffs.

And I'm curious what this will do to his image around the league. I mean he's had his problems, but they've all been off the field issues. He's been pretty straight laced on the field. I hope people don't start looking at him as another Bill Romanowski.
