Vikings allegedly choose Brad Childress as new Head Coach

According to published reports.

I'm not sure he's the football mind they need. He let Owens backtalk him in Philly, which doesn't portray him as a disciplinarian, and it took him until week 10 to realize that running the ball is good.

You know Brud, I'm just glad we still have GW and Co. for another couple of years. To me all the other coaching changes will benefit us next year as these clubs are being overhauled.

This is Philly's 1st coaching loss in thier recent run...hopefully it weakens them a bit more.

I heard that the O cordinator for the Giants is getting some attention and will probably get a head coaching job. The GW deal was a very big move for keeping our coaching staff together and with the raises the other coaches received should mean that we will retain them. I'm not sure but does anyone know in that deal to give the other coaches raises locked them in for another year?

I would have to believe that their contracts run con-currently (is that the right term?) with GWs. In other words, yes, I think so.

Really good article in todays WP about Blache. Seems like he's found a home here and the players really respect him.

Also at this point Westbrook, Owens, and McNabb were out for the rest of the year. He really had no option but to run the ball. You woudn't want to put all of the pressure on McMahon now would you?

So, at this point, their RB (who had just received a sizable contract extension) was out for the year, but now it's time to run?

My point is that the offense he ran had no balance. Perhaps he isn't the football mind he is alleged to be.

He didn't call the plays. Reid did. You can't blame the balance on him really.

Yeah, well the Vikings don't have much of a running game either. In fact their offense used to be a lot like Phily's: big play receiver and big mobile QB until Culpepper got hurt and Moss was lost to them. Oh yeah! It's still like Phily's offense.

The Cowboys OC Sean Payton is also getting buzz as a HC candidate...Id love to see the Cowboys, Eagles and Giants all lose coaches while we stay in tact!
