Trust me we'll keep more then 10 players. Rabach? You'd keep Rabach or you think they will keep Rabach? In either case he sucks. Why do you think Baltimore let him go. He's actually small for a Center and gets bowled over by big good players.

^ rabach for depth plus he's not that bad. All I'm saying Is that we won't be bringing alot of players back. Shanny will rebuild completely

I draft Sanders .
Good point Bud. I would imagine we'll get some FA's in here. I just don't know if any really good ones will be available. Then again, it wouldn't take much to be better than what we have.

But...you don't just pick up the #1 at any position either. Basically what I'm getting at is Shanahan and whoever he brings in as OL coach (hopefully A.Gibbs) will look at all the offensive lineman coming out of the draft and decide which ones would work best in their blocking scheme. Whoever that is might not even be the #1 or #2 in the draft cause the #1 or #2 might not be best for the scheme but the # 4 might be.

It's nice to think about getting the #1 OL or just picking a different position if we can't get the #1 but don't get mad if they pick up someone else cause they know what type of player fits their system.

It is all about scouting for your system. Zorn was screwed almost from the get go with leftovers from the Gibbs' system that obviously didn't work well in the WCO. Have to build a system with what you have to work with talent wise. For Shanny to be a success you have to blow the whol enchilada up and start from scratch.

Sorry dude, misread you. Thought you were saying we were 1 or 2 yrs away from being a good team and that we might just need a couple of players.

I wish , anything is possible . I would like to see a solid foundation , hard core team first guys ... Monte Coleman , D. Grant , Dexter, C. Mann , Green and Monk ... oh and a " Hogs part 2 " .

In my opinion, one of the tangibles that made Shannahan and the Broncos so good with Elway is the Broncos organization dedicated over 25% of thier TOTAL CAP to just the offensive line. This provded quality talent up front.

You could put your grandmother behind that line and she would get 1200 yards a season.

I was out of the country on business. I actually missed the Giants, Chargers and Saints game.

Made it back in time for Christmas with the family and to see the Cowboys-Redskins though.

Upon further review, laying the smackdown on our running backs. We really really miss Clinton Portis. We've got a bunch of matadors in the backfield now. No one blocks like CP

The problem is that it's the only thing he does well at this point. He lacks speed, vision, agility and durability to be an every down back in the NFL anymore. At least on a team that relies on a heavy dose of running the ball.

The problem with Cartwright, Mason, and Ganther is that they're all the same guy.

Can't argue with that! Reaching for any player/position is never good. Seems the're aren't any marquis LT prospects in the top of the draft (Okung isn't Ogden or even Samules when they came out). Hopefully our new GM can trade down slightly and get another pick in the first 2-3 rounds in the process. I would prefer to avoid Clausen (notre dame) and Bradford (can't take a hit).
