Re: Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation
Allow me to break down why this statement is most likely false. First he says that Todd Colins is really bad. This cann't be true because Saunders knows what Collins brings to the table. If he was trully bad, they would have never brought him over from KC. Second nobody trully knows how good Cambell will be. Do you think the Rams knew how good Warner would be?? DO you think the Patriots knew how good Brady would be?? The answere is no, because if they did theose do players would have started from day one. Now ride the bench and only get a chance because of injury. The only think we do know is that Brunnel is terrible. I can't say how happy I am that he is gone. As for Cambel, we'll just have to wait and see.

Re: Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation
looks like a 3 month old comment. nothing to see here... not that'd it'd matter anyways. brunell couldn't get us wins with the current situation and we're out of the playoffs, so there's absolutely no reason not to start campbell and at least give him a chance.

Re: Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation
think about it you guys, how many good talent evaluators do the skins have anyway, not many? I'm not too worried about it. if Vinny said it, who cares, we all know Joe didn't say it, so who's left? Pat Gibbs?
Plus, what top level official with any self respect would crap on his own org with a scrub like Colin???? Go read the scouting report on Romo a few years ago with the cowboys, his biggest fault was his mobility! Just goes to show, its all BS until they get between the numbers man...

I have to disagree about the preseason. I thought he looked better than Brunell or Collins playing with 2nd and 3rd teamers. He made all the throws, he was very accurate on most throws and moved around very well. Did he make mistakes? Sure, but the only way he is going to get better is to play against live bullets. He'll be fine. Too much raw talent to fall flat on his face. |

Re: Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation
Thank you Atomic! Collinsworth REALLY, REALLY, SUCKS! I have always hated his opinions and he has consistently slammed the 'Skins, whatever network he's been slumming with. He probably made the quote up just to try and put a damper on any shred of hope we have for the 'Skins to turn this mess around. I shudder to think that he's working for NFL Network, calling the games they have scheduled this season. Better check the batteries on the remote, so the mute button works!

Re: Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation
they were callin for his benching in Auburn, then askin for his autograph by his sr. year when they went 13-0. The kid has shown the ability to improve, often more important than talent. and as many here have said ,C'worth doesn't respect Snyder et al & that has a lot to do w/his willingness to say something that he'll never have to back up.

Re: Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation
I like Chris Collinsworth, he's a fairly intelligent guy. I trust most of the things he says, he's fairly unbiased, and usually knows what he is talking about. Would you rather take football advice from him or Bradshaw?????? I don't know enough about this "inside source" to criticize him.
