Not a fan of Beck but to me there's no point in going back to Grossman either. Neither guy is the answer here, maybe Grossman gives you a better chance at winning another game or two, but what does that accomplish? I say give Beck the rest of the season to see if he can improve at all.

I hear you and I have been a big MS support but of late it has been hard to be loving the guy and this franchise.

I guess I am just disappointed. I feel like a poor kid on Christmas with no toys every Sunday, everyone around me (Raven fans mainly) normal happy and enjoying their football Sunday or at least have exciting games to watch. It is just so painful to watch this team on offense.

I have been a big believer in them but they have royal fawked up the QB position which was suppose to be their specialty.

How about Carlos Rogers, ever have a bad job then got a good job but went back to visit your friends at the bad job just to say hi and you left smiling knowing you don't have to work in that shit hole anymore, that is great feeling. That was how Carlos felt yesterday.
Most QB grades are limited in what they can judge about what goes on in the head, hence, they focus on the more physical aspects of QB play. Going by the limited info they had, they thought Beck show more than his peers, who were also quite awful in retrospect.

Beck, for all his flaws, can least develop into some sort of backup. That's more than what you can say about JaMarcus and Quinn. Korn on the Kolb is better than Beck right now, but Kolb also folds real quick when dealing with pressure, and laughably failed to own us despite having TWO chances. Drew Stanton - haven't heard from him. Trent Edwards only had one good half a season, and couldn't even beat out Kyle Boller(ok, Al Davis was a flaky dude sometimes, but still).

Starting Grossman is at least going to help the wr's in the passing game. Beck simply has no feel for the passing game farther than 10 yards.

True I'll give you that, if playing Grossman helps in being able to better evaluate the WRs, then I can accept going that route.

That was a good way of looking at so I guess Beck was not the worst pick in that draft and probably was one of the better. But it is also like saying he was the hottest chick at fat camp.

Yes, this is exactly it. I love the youth movement that we saw yesterday but Beck being so completely inept is going to stunt the growth of all our young offensive players. Beck is NOT our future QB so why are we going to go through growing pains grooming him? Inbetween his turnovers Rex will run the offense properly and get the ball to our WR's when they are open. Rex is terrible...I never thought i would want him back in there but Beck is not even an NFL QB. His only scoring drives since he started playing are garbage time drives. It seemed like yesterday he was determined not to be sacked 10 times so he was just checking the ball down imediately before anything developed.

And I was there yesterday...so I saw the whole field on every play...this is not Kyle...we had open WR's all over the field. This is a QB problem...

Do me a favor. Step outside your home, or office. Wherever you are. Look for the nearest hill. Go climb to the top of that hill...and Preach!!!!

Wow, I just got home for the Hospital. Apparently after watching Beck I drank myself into a coma and tried slitting my wrist with a butter knife.

I know it's probably been mentioned a million times before but what frustrates me is the scoreline. We didn't deserve to score 11pts. All fluff garbage yards bumped up stats for our players and made the game look alot closer than it actually was.

49ers dominated the game from the first snap and we had no chance from the beginning.

Actually I did not walk away with that feeling. I feel we beat ourself every chance we had. The O finally starts to move the ball and Trent takes us from a 1st down to something like 2 and 25. The D makes a nice stand and we then turn the ball over and they score. We had a few other plays like that and we just kept shooting ourself in the foot.

It was shown on replay that wr's were open downfield. It's very obvious that Beck simply isn't comfortable pushing the ball downfiled. To me it just looks like he can't drive the ball into tight spots. Whatever it is I've seen enough. But not giving Kyle a pass. He has to shoulder some of the blame too.
