NFL.com news: Shanahan warned son Kyle not to take Redskins' OC job
Interesting. Kyle choose to be here and Mike only kinda wanted him

Re: What's your take on our coaching?
We will eventually come to the realization that this is a process that's going to take time to complete. Shanahan has been reluctant at times to use the word "rebuilding", but it's clear, situations and circumstances have forced him to go with younger players that are gaining valuable experience.
This is what rebuilding looks like

Re: What's your take on our coaching?
I think this is fallacious.
Shanny took over a team that had Jason Campbell, Clinton Portis, Santana Moss, Chris Cooley, Fred Davis, Albert Haynesworth, Andre Carter, Brian Orakpo, London Fletcher, Carlos Rogers, DeAngelo Hall, and LaRon Landry. That core was as talented as any core that changed its coaching staff over in the last two seasons. I think it would be correct to say that that core hasn't produced very much in the Shanahan era. But plenty of the blame for that lies in who they decided to keep and who they decided to jettison. And if Harbaugh had taken the job and decided to start gutting the roster of talented guys who didn't fit his scheme: dumped Smith, traded Vernon Davis, benched Crabtree, brought in some veterans to fill holes on defense instead of playing young guys like Navarro Bowman, Ray McDonald, Ahmad Brooks, and Ricky Jean-Francois, I think it's safe to say the 49ers wouldn't be 7-1 and seriously eyeing the super bowl. But whose fault would that be? Mike Singletary's fault? Trent Baalke's fault? I guess. In a world where the current guy is never responsible for the state of the roster, you have to find a scapegoat I suppose.

Re: What's your take on our coaching?
The real test will be what will Harbaugh do when Alex Smith is a free agent at the end of this year. His hands were a bit tied because of the lockout, which is a big reason he didn't make many moves particularly at QB. But after this season, will he offer the big money to Smith and say "yes you're my guy" or will he say "thanks, but I just needed a temporary solution"

Re: What's your take on our coaching?
Our roster isn't anywhere close to what Harbaugh inheirited. The 49ers had a top-tier rush defense LAST YEAR(I knew very well not to start RBs against 'Frisco in fantasy). They improved their pass D by drafting Aldon Smith and signing 'Los(who's average play here might be partially related to the work environment.
Offensively, Vernon Davis and Frank Gore have been consistently productive since 2009 and are safe to consider "still in their prime". Our offensive talents were aging, mediocre, or just plain ass.

I tried to tell people this. Noooo.... Reading coach speak and learning when they are bullshitting is key. When the guy says things, like in this article, and when he says "this is going to take time", he's telling you "this team sucks and we are rebuilding" without actually using those words. Team was so devoid of talent. It's just the Skins fans put their players on some sort of high pedestal that isn't indicative of their real talent. My only problem with his plan of rebuilding was bringing in McDummy.

Re: What's your take on our coaching?
On a similar theme did anyone else hear on 106.7 FM the News section coming out of a break of the Lavar and Dukes show said that it's been reported the Skins are presently looking through the available WR's on the market to see what Vets are worth bringing in? It followed right after MS mentioned that people really don't know whats going on and (refering to players) some people need to stop running their mouths especially when they are not doing their job. lol.
So .... who gets brought in? |

I can't effing believe Mike still has supporters...it's just laughable. Every football fan I talk to outside Skins fans (and even some of them) see Mike has lost it and most of the roster has mailed it in. Ugh. On a brighter note the level of play apart from Washington has been better than I expected w/ the lockout and compressed preseason.
