Third round is a good place to find a good center for the o-line. BUT...when we get there, the right guy may not be there, so an RB could find his way in. When the free agents start flying around in a few more weeks, the entire draft picture for us may very well change.

I think alot of people should not underestimate a guy like Maurice Clarett. Anything higher than third round would be a steal for a guy like this. Especially in a shallow draft, like this year.

Clarett will be taken in the second round. I'd be surprised if he drops down below that. Oh and we don't need a RB!

This has Al Davis and the Raiders written all over it. Expect him to be picked up by them for a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

Saden - there's a point when you have to draft for talent. He has a lot more of it than Betts =p
Draft the best available player if you feel you can address needs in other rounds. |

I would guess he will 3rd or 4th round. I would say that is too early for us to get him since we have other needs. Another question would be if he would beat out Betts or not. If not he would more than likely have to play special teams and I dont see him playing much special teams.

I dunno about that. In his prime, I would have guessed 1st rounder.

Are you kidding Clarett would have been a high first rounder when he first came out even spending only his freshman year in school. Easily top 1/2 of the draft.
Malcolm.. No. No we don't. |

Its hard to say. You have to see how he does in workouts and stuff. If he is still in shape, I would take a chance on him. I dont think his additude would be a huge problem because he's very cutable and you can fix his additude, in my opinion. A guy like Moss, for example, could act however the hell he wants and it wouldnt matter, cause you cant do much about it.
If Clarett performs well in workouts, and he's avalible with our 4th, I'd say take a shot.

Absolutly! Clarett was blackballed by college and pro football alike, they carried on about how he would be nothing in the NFL rather than see an under classmen succeed and prove them wrong they slandered his abilities to anyone who would listen, essentially saying not allowing an underclassmen in the NFL is for their own good, then kicked him out of college and away from that big time education college and pro both say you need so badly to succeed in life. HYPOCRITES! Clarett will be very similar to Emmitt Smith, his running style is almost identical, he can find holes that aren't there and power through them, no way he's available in the 3rd round, personally I don't think he will make it out of the first rd. As draft day near's we will start hearing team's talk about how much Clarett has helped his stock in the draft as if it wasen't there all along. |

I think that if he was available later in the draft then yeah take a chance on him, but the team needs other areas to be addressed before we even think of takeing a RB.

Like I said, Gardener for a pick good enough to draft Clarett.
Geez... I don't know why they don't fire Vinny and hire me. J/K

Quite simply, no
RB is not a pressing need and Betts proved himself enough to deserve more work next season. |
