Re: Mcnabb appears to be done and he is the reason for this loss
If Shanahan had done this at some other point in the game, then MAYBE you could put some rational behind it, but this was ridiculous.

I will never forget this statement from Joe Theismann
"As a NFL QB you don't have to be the reason your team won the game, but you damm sure can't be the reason your team lost the game" And Mcnabb was the reason |

we do not have any WRs and no O-line what do you want him to do.....peyton manning would just quit if he had to play with this team

And no way, there is a zero percent chance grossman starts the next game.

I'm not a guy that likes to fan the flames of controversy, so i made the statement that I did because i wanted to point out that I will support the team and the decisions they make. I'm not going to create controversy by saying that benching McNabb was a bad move, or by saying that i know for a fact that Rex is the better option. I am saying that i trust them to make the right decision, and that by inserting Grossman, maybe they believe that he can run the offense better and gives this team a better chance going forward. My personal opinion is that regardless of WHO was put in to replace McNabb, now is the right time to do it because the team is at .500, and the new starter has 2 full weeks to work with the first team and sharpen up a bit. The team still has a chance to make the playoffs and a new QB might just be the spark they need. Just my 2 cents...

Re: Mcnabb appears to be done and he is the reason for this loss
Rex Grossman will certainly not be the starter.
I believe the only reason he is on the team was to mentor the other QB's and mostly mentor the WR's on where they are supposed to run routes in practice. No one thinks Grossman is even remotely close to McNabb in terms of ability. I don't even think Grossman can throw more than 30 yards. This is just Shanny sticking his finger in another key player's eye...because he can. Moron move. Thats what blamers do...how about taking some ownership for bad blocking scheme decisions?

Re: Mcnabb appears to be done and he is the reason for this loss
Not really words of encouragement for McNabb when Shanahan says Grossman understands the offense better, is better In the 2 minute and gave the team a better chance to win. Still think McNabb starts though

Re: Mcnabb appears to be done and he is the reason for this loss
Okay so that is just confirming what some of us thought. Grossman may not be the better QB than McNabb, but at this point, Rex knows the offense better and gives us a better chance to win. He could be the "Todd Collins" of this offense. I say give him a chance.

By the way, Fanatic don't feel the need to start a thread right after every game
