im satisfied with Brunell's play, the only thing lacking is his accuracy on long passes. he needs to lead his receivers where only they can get to the ball and in stride. the safeties are all up, we need to make em PAY.

I think accuracy, arm strength, and even leadership seem to be lacking.

Yes, I know that Pro Football Talk is just talk, but.....

Ramsey may just provide a spark if he starts.

Ramsey is not going to start Gibbs say Brunell is the starter!

I think that this rumor is completely false. I think that there are maybe some people out there who think that Ramsey is the needed spark to ignite the offense, but honestly Brunnel is doing a better job than most people seem to be giving him credit for.
Brunnel has shown that he can make nice passes for first downs and I have seen him throw very nice, crisp passes to receivers, but there have been a fair number of times where there might be a drop. Brunnel's errant looking passes are usually just passes to throw it away when the pressure is on and I think that when the pressure is on and you don't see any receiver open down or upfield that you kind of have to throw that ball away to avoid the costly mistake.
Many times penalties have really played a big part in killing drives. For example, a series of first downs get stifled by a few untimely penalties and then all of a sudden we are in a third and long situation. That kind of gives the defense a heads up on where the ball will be headed.
As far as the comment about lack of accuracy, arm strength, and leadership, I have to say that there may be a basis for that from what is seen on the television, but if you look a little further I think that you'll see that Brunnel has been extremely accurate in a lot of different situations and that the plays are just messed up by some mental errors by the wideouts. Also, I saw Brunnel gun a couple of passes, especially in the Dallas game and I think that showed me that he still has a fair amount of mustard left in that left arm of his. Finally, in terms of leadership, I don't think that there are many players that have what Brunnel has. He has kept calm even through hard situations and helped as an example for players who might otherwise fret in times of difficulty (like after a fumble for instance). He led a great no huddle offense early in the Cleveland game and I think that he has just about won the hearts of our wideouts corp. And as Vince Lombardi said, "men respond to leadership in a most remarkable way way once you have won his heart, he will follow you anywhere."

yeah, thats kind of a bogus rumor mill, but i'm still not entirely sure either QB is much better than the other... brunell is fine, but still prefers 5 yard passes, which sucks

Rediculous rumor. PFT is a joke. If Gibbs was thinking about changing QB's he would come out and say it. It would not leek out on some 3rd rate gossip website. In that same article PFT accused and cursed out Chris Mortinson of stealing their scoop regarding some lockerroom fight and reporting it on Monday Night Countdown. If Chris Mortinson even reads PFT, let alone passes along what he reads to ESPN viewers then he should be fired imediately.

No way Ramsey start's this week unless Brunell is hurt, as much as I want Ramsey in there, Brunell in all fairness need's more time to prove he can't do the job.

As far as this nonesense about Ramsey not being mobile, he's probable more mobile in the pocket than Brunell, and he can out run LB's, I think to many people just assume he can't move, because he is a true pocket passer, and he doesn't run all over the field like Vick, but he seem's to know when to run, in his short stint as a starter, he had some big run's for us, Jet game last year, Giant game this year, come to mind.

locking on to a reciever running downfield, most inexpierenced QB's will do it, until they become familiar, and trust where their reciever's will be, Ramsey can win games, brunell will try not to lose them, give me the gun slinger, but one thing Gibb's did his first time around is he is very loyal to his starter's, Brunell will have to become very obvious to everyone that he can't get it done, before Gibb's pull's him, and I don't think that has happened yet, reason? As Gibb's has stated this is a team problem, not 1 individual's, and until he feel's he has straightened out the team as a whole, I think Brunell is his guy.

This is from PFT? Ok. Why does anyone even look at that site? It's all false rumors just to stir things up...

Matt, SS, we need a special doghouse avatar. I'm more than happy to be the first recipient.

How about a picture of Spurrier blowing confused bubbles?

Personally, I'm reluctant to use an avatar of Spurrier. Because we all know what's going to happen then. Our main man Daseal is going to do everything he can to get in the doghouse and have his Spurrier avatar.
