Re: Malcolm Kelly yard and touchdown expectations & predictions
I also like this kid and hope he makes the squad. Maybe taking Thrash's spot. He would be a nice compliment along with Kelly and Thomas for the future.
Question: Hey Gary, I am an avid Redskins fan and I am interested in our draft pick Marko Mitchell. He seems to be very promising. What is his 40 time? And do you think that he will be able to make the roster? -- Shane H. Gary: I spoke with Mitchell last week and came away impressed. At Nevada, he was regarded as a big-play receiver. Mitchell frequently ran deep routes and in 2007 finished with a remarkable 21.3 yards-per-catch average. He has above average speed; he reportedly ran a 4.47 in the 40 at the NFL Scouting Combine. With the Redskins, Mitchell must learn short passing routes associated with the West Coast offense. If he can master the offense in short period of time, I would say he has a very good chance at making the roster. |

Re: Malcolm Kelly yard and touchdown expectations & predictions
Moss will lead us in receptions, but Kelly and Thomas will be in the top 4(Cooley).

Re: Malcolm Kelly yard and touchdown expectations & predictions
If he is healthy 57 receptions for 743 yards and six touchdowns. I like him much more than Thomas.

Re: Malcolm Kelly yard and touchdown expectations & predictions
Bigger question is expectations for Thomas. Cant expect too much from Kelly with the contining knee issue at this point...Kelly 25 Rec for 300 yards and a couple TDs would be a win at the 4th wide reciever spot. Thomas needs to assert himself in the offense as a legit number 2. Im expecting 60 rec 6 TD and 750 yards for Thomas. One of these guys needs to step up...just cant expect it from Kelly with the knee right now.

Re: Malcolm Kelly yard and touchdown expectations & predictions
Well Kelly is known around the locker room (both college and professional) as a guy who maintains a great attitude. In fact i'm pretty sure i remember hearing other guys say Kelly is fun to be around. Ultimately I highly doubt his attitude about anything holds him back, but i continue to be skeptical about his prospects for success only because that knee is such a wildcard.
Personally I agree DT is the younger WR to watch for a breakout season. I still think he's the most athletic offensive player behind Tana...he needs to become a much better WR though for that athleticism to mean anything. But yes I think Thomas ends up w/ more yards/catches/points than Kelly.

Re: Malcolm Kelly yard and touchdown expectations & predictions
Chico seemed to be saying MK had current knee issues so that's why I said right now he's fine. Down the road who knows, but as for right now all is well. Fingers crossed.

Re: Malcolm Kelly yard and touchdown expectations & predictions
What I want and what I will probably get are two totally different things so....
I want 6 TD's and ~900 Yards I'll get 3 TD's and ~450 Yards And obv his knee has to hold....
