Whatever corner he is lined up against that day.

Seriously, there's no way that "pissing" Coles off would do anything. THAT type of attitude will be seen as poison for almost any team barring the Raiders.

Re: Jets talking with Coles' agent?

Speaking of your quote... I almost drank myself into a coma following the Cowboys "win" late last season.

Matty:

What kept him from doing it last year? Simple. He figured that if he said he wanted out of here in the off season, the team would find a way to get it done. Remember he thought he had a deal to do that and then "things changed". So, my guess is that Coles used to be a bit cooperative on this matter and now is going to play hard-ass.

Cush:

I have no idea if a deal for Coles is in the works or not, but I want to say one thing about George Michaels and his reports. He is so deep in the pocket of the Redskins' PR machine that his nickname ought to be "Lint".

So now he's going to become the cancer of all cancers and piss his career away? I doubt it.

Either way I think it will end up being a moot point in the end as I think we'll still find a trade partner for him.

I don't think we were going to let him go that easy in the fist place. He is here to stay unless we can work a deal to limit his cap hit.

Re: Merged: The Latest on Coles/Moss

This is the latest i've seen...

4th March - Talks between the Jets and Roosevelt Barnes, the agent for Coles, about a possible trade resumed yesterday. Coles dropped his demand for a new contract, which was the reason the initial negotiations died down, The Star-Ledger reports.

Re: Merged: The Latest on Coles/Moss

All the signs point to Coles being gone. First, we're not aggressively pursuing re-signing Smoot. Second, we let Pierce walk. Third, we picked up Patten, who, like Coles, is a deep threat. Fourth, we've stopped signing free agents for now. Fifth, Coles dropped his demand for a new deal.

My only question is....if we have about $7 million in cap room, we take a $9 million hit for trading Coles, and we give Moss a new deal, who are we going to cut to get in under the cap? We need about $1 million in emergency cap space. So, we'll need to come up with about $5 million in cap room.
