Elderhood should not be seen as an inevitable period of decline leading to death, but a stage of continued personal, interpersonal, and spiritual growth. It is also a stage of life at which we achieve the greatest differentiation, older adults are all unique, and should be respected as individuals. The more we marginalize our elders, the more we rob them of the fulfilling respectable lives they deserve. I know that was not in any way your intent, but it is a stereotype that is constantly propagated in our society.

Sorry for being the PC police.
This Is pro sports, not an office. Even the most talented of nfl quarterbacks are done by 40. Weeden will most certainly have a shorter career than an equally talented quarterback who is 6 years younger. When teams are looking for a guy to solidify a position for 15 years, and theyre using valuable draft picks to acquire the player, they'd be stupid to go with the older guy.

Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)

piggyback off Dirtbag:

Indianapolis - Luck (1st Overall)

Washington - Griffin (4th Overall), Henne (FA)

Cleveland - Riley Reiff (6th Overall), Jason Campbell (FA) starter to be determined in a training camp competition that McCoy will likely win

Miami - Matt Flynn - Matt Moore loses in an 'open' competition

New York Jets - Manning (FA) -

Seattle - Tannehill (1st Round) - McNabb (FA) starter until/if Tannehill is ready or the team starts losing

Reverse Washington and Cleveland and then add Tannehill to Washington and you have it.

I'm comfortable with this development. Screw Smoot and his insider information, you just keep dreaming, Chico! Do you remember any late round gems we snagged?

Did you see them get drafted or were you being told by a third person?

Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)

Between Nick Foles and Brandon Weeden, which of them is the better quarterback? I watched highlights on youtube of both men and came out impressed with how both of them could hit their targets on 3rd down and sustain drives.

Another thought that has been at the back of my mind lately is this: come training camp, what if Jonathan Crompton outshines John Beck or even Rex Grossman in training camp?
