Yes, It is my understanding that school officials prefer to be known as Pittsburgh.

Actually I was wrong, it wasn't until his 3rd season when the Bears went to SBXX. '83, '84, '85....

Does it have to be a relative or can it be someone closer?

Does a tryout as a free agent punter for the Steelers in 77 count?

I once met Ryan Kerrigan in the parking lot of the Sterling California Tortilla once. So essentially, that makes us cousins... True story, except for the cousins part.

Re: Relatives that played in the NFL

I'd like to think I'm family with about 150 NFL players. Us Hurricane Alum are a tight group. Ill never forget the game I went too vs the Ravens and called Sean Taylor over and gave him my hat and jersey. He, Portis and Moss signed around the Miami U on my hat and I was wearing a Portis jersey so he signed that. They didnt sign anyone elses stuff but I had known Sean from class.

I grew up playing sports and carpooling with Zach Mills. He tried out for the Skins as an undrafted rookie after being Penn States QB and our high school.

If "anyone" counts, I have a couple of former students in the NFL: Michael Boley and Jeremy Bridges.
