Hey MC,
I'm always lurking on this site, I check in everyday multiple times. But I'm an amateur graphic artist and not a typist, I hate Typing!! I'm always ready to respond to allot of the stuff I read here, but by the time I type it and spell check it, someone else has beaten me to the punch, so I say screw it. Thanks for all the compliments on the graphics though, I'm working on a bunch more as I type.

Re: New Avatars

Sweet. Good luck on designing. I went to 4 years of college for it and I got burned out within one year. Doing computer work is where it's at as far as I'm concerned.

(By the way, the pen tool is the ONLY tool to use to cut out people. I've seen "professional" graphic artists STILL using the lasso tool. It is very sad. And in case you don't know, Quark is THE only layout program. ) I hate InDesign.

Ramseyfan, you're such a slut. I don't give lapdances until at LEAST the second date.

Handing out lapdances like candy from a rusty van. Tisk tisk.

Well there's your problem right there! You obviously need to learn to type with two hands (since you have an extra hand to work on avatars while you type).

Thanks for the avatars, they're great.

Re: New Avatars

Some people need to work on typing with two hands, but I DON'T think they're working on avatars.

Re: New Avatars

Thanks to Summo for the designs, and to Matty for getting them up! Nice job Summo!

I have a suggestion that may have brought up before, but I though I'd mention it anyway....and I'm not sure if it's even feasible:
What about for each level, having a couple different avatars to choose from in the User CP? For example, a "Playmaker" would have a choice between Cooley, and say Portis, and maybe even a couple "old school" ones like Monk or Riggo from back in the day. Gunslinger could have Ramsey, plus Rypien, Williams, Theisman. You get the idea...
Just a thought so people could "customize" a little without junking it up like the other Skins boards.

It's a nice thought but basically it would be too much work.

Re: New Avatars

Once we get to 20,000 I have a legends series ready to go and you'll have your choice. That's a ways down the road though, LOL

Re: New Avatars

If Summo needs any help, just give me a shout. I would be easy to work from that template to make some more if needed.

Re: New Avatars

I wonder how long it would take to become a legends series on here...

I average about 15.5 posts a day... HmmMMMmm...At least 3-4 years. Holy shit.

I don't use either tool to cut people out. In the avatar case I designed the background first so they would all be the same then I layer the pic over it and use the eraser tool to cut them out. I like doing it that way because it gives a nice anti-aliasing edge that looks much cleaner.
