I hear ya... I was thinking the TE was only going to be inserted on these plays as an addl blocker or decoy. With 3 WR's you get to stretch the D in depth, but with Portis in the backfield you have to keep the LB's honest.

Gibbs will need to experiment a bit with his formations this season if he's going to produce better offensive numbers. Last season the offense was too simplified & the defenses picked up it really quick & shut it down.
