I don't see how the guy can help at all, he missed all of last season and is basically a ARE type player.

I agree. The real reason I would like to see him as a Redskin is that I grew up nextdoor to him and he was one of my friends growing up and played with him in HighSchool. Kinda selfish but it would be cool.

Also excuse my ignorance but what is an ARE type player? I have tried almost every acronym I can think of and nothing works.

ARE = Antwaan Randle EL, Basically that Davis would be a decent WR/PR but we already have BB. Thats pretty cool that you grew up with the guy. You still talk to him?

Re: Free Agency/Franchise Tag thread 2011

Given our lack of depth at WR why not give someone like Davis a look? He knows the offense and is likely nothing more than a #3 or #4 type. Nothing to get our panties in a bunch over.

And with the labor uncertainty, free agency is no guarantee so you better have some other guys lined up in case someone like Rice doesn't hit the market.

Yes basically Malcolm Kelley, injured a lot of the time but promising physical gifts. Yes I still talk to him mostly when we are both home. In all honesty he is probably the nicest person I have ever met. Extremely kind hearted and comes from an amazing family.

And he was Vick's favorite target on the Hokies national championship runner up team in 1999-2000!

Speaking of Vick...signed his franchise tender today, as did Ngata

I think with Shaun Rogers signing with the Saints, we'll be talking to Jenkins

If Davis signs with us, we'll be coming to you to hook us up with an interview!
