Re: Would an exclusive Superbowl Stadium work??

It wouldn't work. But it would be nice to have it on a rotation, kind of like golf does with some of the majors. Putting a SB in cities like Jacksonville, Minneapolis or Indy doesn't make any sense. San Diego, Miami, LA and New Orleans should be where they should put it. Even Las Vegas if they had a big enough stadium.

I imagined that it could hold events through the year like Pro Wrestling, MMA, concerts and stuff...maybe have the odd regular season game there, but i figured the superbowl would be money...

Great idea...one of the most violent cities in the nation with some of the worst winter weather.

I see no problems there.

Re: Would an exclusive Superbowl Stadium work??

So what would be the benefits of having it at the same site every year?

Re: Would an exclusive Superbowl Stadium work??

Well, it would certainly be more efficient for the NFL to not have to use the resources dealing with all the bids, the criteria for hosting and dealing with various entities on why or why not certain cities are eligible. They would also not have to listen to all the butthurt stadium owners and mayors of towns that can't have a super bowl.

I'd say that is not enough beef to warrant a "this city only" stadium but it sure would cut down on the drama.

If anything they should work on making sure all the teams endeavor to build domed stadiums. Then everyone is eligible and they could just go down the list and let everyone have a Super Bowl.

Screw that I have no desire to see the skins have a dome.

We should put it in hmmmmmm.....
Area 51, Nevada. The aliens wouldn't mind evaluating the specimens close up before abducting them.
