He would have been a good fit here instead of Haslett.

Does Shanahan not like smith? Is smith tired of working for the skins? Why would he relocate to Denver for a lateral move?

Now...what happens to Tebow?

I think Fox would probably lean towards Orton after a disaster season with 3 rookie QBs playing for him.

There's no way that Tebow isn't the starter next year. IMO Kyle Orton will be traded. The Denver players are mesmerised by the Tebow factor.

Interesting. He was their LB coach there under Marty I believe.

Rob Ryan reportedly talking with the Cowboys

Tryfuhl-I suppose Shurmur makes McNabb a contender in Cleveland, but I think they'd be better off just letting Shurmur develop Colt. Working with young QBs is his strength

BHA-Not guaranteed that Smith would leave for Denver but he doesn't have a contract right now and it's not uncommon for special teams coaches to make lateral moves.

Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves

Fox wanted him last year but the Skins blocked it

The Early Lead - John Fox might be eyeing Redskins special teams coach Danny Smith

Amazing how fast these coaching spots are being filled yet Cowher and Gruden still stay on the board. Looking like neither will coach next year either.

I'm still not sold on Tebow. He played a nice game against Houston but every offense did. I still question whether he can be a consistent pocket passer over a full season. Eventually his flaws will show up.

I'm thinking that teams just don't want to pay the high price tag and I really don't blame them.

Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves

Gruden had a chance to coach the Hurricanes. I really think he's enjoying his booth job to much to leave.

Cowher has not really been a serious candidate anywhere but the media.

No need for either of them to rush back for a less than ideal situation.

Those two guys can write their own tickets. I gotta believe they're waiting around for the perfect job.

I think Cowher is just sitting back and waiting for Sporano, Kubiak or Coughlin to get fired.

Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves

I THOUGHT he was waiting for the Carolina job...made the most sense. Maybe they're just so bad and he changed his mind.

This more then anything makes me believe he wants the Giants job and they want him ,yeah I know what has been said and I saw Coughlin on TV but I still think he might be gone in a year.....if he didn;t take the Panthers job then he's just waiting TC out.
