Re: Around the NFL: Week 16
I would like to see that too, but I think we could survive with Grossman as well.

Re: Around the NFL: Week 16
Yea I think Rex can be a good QB in our system BUT I think Kyle could be our guy for 5-6 years.

Yeah Orton should be high on our radar... Grossman the fallback plan.

Re: Around the NFL: Week 16
Everyone thinks Shanny will draft a QB in the 1st round but unless its Luck I don't see us going QB.. I dont think a Cam Newton fits our quick release pass game.. Idk but I think we go WR in the 1st

We have a lot of needs, any BPA within those needs will make sense.

I have to admit I havent checked Orton's stats and Ive only caught a few Denver games, but I"m friends with a Denver season ticket holder that tells me Orton isnt that great,he doesnt suck, but he's not an upgrade over Grossman. If were not going after an upgrade or going to start a rookie that we drafted high,I'd rather just resign Rex

I think he would be a solid upgrade and someone we could win with, I don't think he's the 2nd coming or anything. He's thrown for over 3,600 yards this year with 20 TDs vs 9 INTs in 13 starts. Plus he's won a lot of games in this league. |

Re: Around the NFL: Week 16
Yo HTown maybe you should check his career stats and record, pretty damn good. The last 3 years he's been very good and he's a big arm accurate QB. The most underrated QB in football IMO. Is he Dan Marino? Heck no but he's a pretty good player. He had no Marshall this year and moreno was hurt a lot and still but up BIG Time numbers. Just saying

He's improved his Chicago numbers with Denver, but not exactly sure what he ranks highly in that would make you call his numbers "big time". He hasn't turned the ball over much, I suppose. And you may be the first person to ever use "big arm" to describe Kyle Orton. He's neither strong armed, nor accurate, and his arm tends to fail him after about 350 or 400 throws in a season. Orton is the perfect NFL backup quarterback, and is worth acquiring at the level of a 7th round pick.
