I like JC as a person- by all accounts he's a very good guy- and for that reason I hope he's successful in his endeavors on and off the football field. He handled that whole trade circus with grace and class, and I respect him for that.
I think he's talented, but the guy has been surrounded by so many head coaches, coordinators, and systems since he left high school, it's kind of hard to imagine he could ever succeed with all that constant change.
I'd say at this point he's never going to be anything more than a lower-tier starter or a quality back-up.
