Re: Game Goats

reed doughty - im a fan of his but he got exposed. he needs to be cerebral on the field to keep himself in position b/c unlike landry, he doesnt have the speed or physical tools to make up for poor decision making.

d hall needs to STFU in post game interviews. doughty should tell reporters "well, we had some nice D calls on some 3rd and longs were our one corner decided to play off and gave up some unneccesary completions but once he gets his act together I think our D will make improvements in that regard')

sellers has to catch that ball.

bidwell - looked like he was punting a brick sometimes, one which gave the boys possession at our 35 and ended up being their 1 td.

rabach - he needs to be upgraded

haynesworth - got tossed around too much.

Sorry, D-Hall can say whatever the hell he wants this week.

Al did not have much impact but I have never seen him get "tossed around".

i give d hall props for returning the fumble but his tackles came from guys making catchs on him. he is a playmaker but he is not close to being a shut down corner. im not knocking hall, i like the fact that los shuts guys down and hall creates turnovers. but hall is far from a complete corner and given the choice id go los over hall if i had to pick one.

on atleast 2 plays gurode tossed haynesworth like a body bag. they made sure to replay it a few times and comment on it as well. sorry you missed it.

With a little over 8:00 in the second, the center and guard moved him out of the play laterally on a big run. Commanding a double team is not getting "tossed around".

I saw Haynesworth jack up their guy with a little over 4:00 in the 3rd.

With 2:00 in the 3rd Gurode got the better of him initially, then he held Albert and didn't get called when Al recovered (per Collinsworth).

So now that is twice that I have watched the game and still have no idea what you are talking about.

I did watch Kemo get pushed back consistently on single teams and was like a rag doll on double teams. He is big and slow and gets zero push into the backfield. If all you Albert haters get your wish, get used to seeing our linebackers having to avoid 96 getting pushed over them.

At this point AH is just another body in there. No more no less. He's really not a difference maker. He doesn't dominate and the defense can get the job down w/out him.

I guess we will find out because the Texans are going to run until we stop them.

Your constant Haynesworth apologies amaze me. Haynesworth took plays off (surprise), and was very slow out of his stance on at least two plays (as in the last lineman on either side of the ball out of his three point stance).

He's dominant when he wants to be, but he doesn't want to be. Not here anyway. He stood on the sidelines by himself pouting when he wasn't in the game. He's a head case.

Re: Game Goats

I'm concerned about the run defense. Dallas was dumb and got away from running the ball. I have big concerns about our LB's in coverage on short passes and screens, and I think we can be gashed by good running teams.

Our D-line is a big, big weakness IMO. It's a shame Haynesworth doesn't give a shit about this team, because it would be nice to have him buy in and earn a full-time role.

Lol. It is tough to change the game in 16 snaps.

I didn't see him taking plays off, in fact I saw him pursue about 20 yards or more on multiple plays. I did see the play where he missed the snap.

Here's the thing, Kemo isn't even servicable when he wants to be so until we have a solution to letting Al go (which no one on this board has come up with) I will argue that the coaches should earn their checks and motivate him. I maintain that the team is better with a motivated Haynesworth. If the coaches are not good enough to get something out of him then get this over with and get rid of him.

If he goes to the Titans, he is going to destroy us when we play them this year.

I don't buy that argument at all. This coaching staff has 52 other guys motivated as hell and flying all over the field. We have star starters, no-name back-ups, and everyone in between buying into what Shanahan and Co are selling. Except for one guy.

This isn't new with Albert. It's how he's been everywhere he's gone. He's played all of one season where he shut off his antics and dominated- and that was when he was looking for a monster payday.

IMO to make the statement "if the coaches are not good enough to get something out of him..." is pretty ignorant of what's going on with this team and staff. No offense intended, just my opinion.

Re: Game Goats

Arian Foster is going to eat up this defense if they keep on playing the way they're playing. AH or no, the run defense is shit and the blame has to fall on the front seven. Kemo sucks and it's going to be a while before he returns to form, if he ever does, AH is on/off and playing catchup, and Holliday is lol awful.
