That is very cool for here to do.

Great story and nice to see Bruce and Dan S. give her such a warm welcome. I am sure the players enjoyed her time as well.

yeah I've only heard 2 bits about Morris.. one was that Bartel got a pass to him but Anderson Russell lit him up and the ball came free

the other was that he had a great downfield block

rex already knows the system from his days in houston. McNabb is learning it. Nothing to worry about here.

Been hearing good stuff about Kareem Moore and Laron Landry in the S spots. Laron is apparently much more team-focused now and asking more questions in meetings/film. Moore has avoided biting on double moves pretty well and brought in a few picks. 'Los has gotten a pick or two himself.

Landry now has 2 INTs in as many days. Is he borrowing his 1 INT allotment per year from the future so now he won't have an INT next season?

Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread

I would like to see JJ tear it up this season! I think this kid has a strong upside.

Jeremy Jarmon adjusting to new assignment

A season ago, Jeremy Jarmon was inserted into games at all four positions on the line: both tackle spots and both end positions. He's already been shuffled around a bit this year. Projected as a linebacker through much of the offseason, Jarmon has been piling on pounds and will be expected to compete as both a defensive end and a three-technique tackle.

"Those are areas that I'm not accustomed to playing, so I'm playing some catch-up," he said. "Honestly, I'm out there trying to get better every day. I think I can make an argument that I am."

Jarmon, who's about 20 pounds heavier than he was coming out of college last spring, is participating fully in practices after missing much of the offseason as his torn ACL continued to heal. Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan has liked Jarmon's progress thus far.

"He's been playing well, especially now playing that position for a little bit," Shanahan said. "It's part of the evaluation process. It's nice to get him back. He's healthy. I think it's always different when you've been out for a while to put pads on and actually get started. But it's been very positive and I think it'll just keep on getting better."

Though his knee was still recovering, Jarmon was a constant presence around Redskins Park and spent most of the offseason preparing to play linebacker. But coaches ultimately decided they could use more depth on the line and liked Jarmon's versatility. Still, Jarmon enjoyed his brief time at the linebacker position.

"When I was in there in the linebacker meeting rooms, I saw football. Like I saw receivers out there and backs. I saw a part of the game that I have never seen before, so my football IQ increased," he said. "Instead of being in the trenches where I see a receiver every now and then.

Now back in the trenches, Jarmon has had some help as he's tried to learn the new positions. On the practice field, Albert Haynesworth could be seen chatting with Jarmon, discussing techniques and assignments.

"Albert's always been able to help me out. Sometimes when coach is occupied and doing things, he's able to kind of just keep some of those ideas fresh in my head that coach was going over in meetings and stuff," said Jarmon, who is entering his second season. "He just talks to me about hand placement and stance and things like that."

It's early yet, but neither QB has actually looked that good so far. Mc Nabb is a little further behind in the offense than Grossman, but they both have work to do.

Disagree. Rex has looked pretty darn good consistently as I witnessed in camp. Maybe today wasn't the best day for most from all accounts.

McNabb is a little further behind as he doesn't have the time in the system that Rex does but will close that gap as we go along, and be what we expect.

I agree there has been spurts, or moments when they both have made plays. On a consistent basis that has not exactly been the case for neither guy. That consistency is what we're looking for right now. But like I said, it early yet.

About freaking time

JasonLaCanfora

Free agent RB Ladell Betts is visiting Denver and New Orleans this week. Longtime Redskin is healthy after serious injury in 2009.

Redskins Notes: Whirlwind For Beck

Carriker seeing a LOT of first-team time and doing well.

Carriker, Kemoeatu and Phillips...solid D-line, with Haynesworth coming off bench at DE and Carter available if needed...I like it.

When I say AH coming off bench...he will be playing part time whether he's a starter or not...he always has.

Shanahan has said that they are rotating players with the first team so people shouldn't make too much of it.

He’s done a great job,” Shanahan said. “He’s going to help our defensive line. Very strong, very stout, very consistent.”

I hate to be a downer, but my biggest concern by far with the D-Line is injury concerns...Need them to stay healthy and everyone has past/recent issues
