I still don't think it is as bad as paying 100 million to a DT who does not play every snap and wants out of DC after one season. |

Golston played more. However, Golston was the one who got his arse double teamed and pushed back 50000 yds on the Johnathan Stewart TD. He was also getting ass kicked by Detroit's RG.

Re: Carpenter for Barron trade in the works
Wow, you sound like the fans here. They aren't mandatory, he's making bread because he can do what no other DT that we have had here for a while can. That's create pressure. The dude was here for every workout last year and came in fat, this year he went to a guy that can get him in shape. We'll be good. Tony will be ok coming out of the hospital too.

Re: Carpenter for Barron trade in the works
Better pick a better player to attack, a lot of people will find this more of a compliment rather than an insult.

Re: Carpenter for Barron trade in the works
Albert looks like a steal compared to Roy Williams. And for the 100 millionth time, the contract was 4 for 48. There is a 32 million dollar poison pill in year 5.

12 games! And you say 4 for 48???? Wow, I was not a fan of the Roy Williams trade, but in comparison, it sure is looking better and better. |

While I have my bias, I will try to be objective about the following statement. Both the Cowboys and the Redskins have not gotten what they expected out of their respective acquisitions. Roy Williams was a non-factor and the Cowboys still did well; Haynesworth played well but the Redskins still were bad. Looking at it from a compensation standpoint, the trade for Roy Williams was more costly to the Cowboys than the Haynesworth acquisition. Dallas gave up a lot of picks and got nothing for them. The Redskins gave up a lot of money for Haynesworth, and he wasn't necessarily the answer to a terrible team. But, because of the lack of a salary cap, well Haynesworth ended costing money that will not count against the cap and affect the team that much. Whereas with the Cowboys, well the draft is still happening, and they are never getting those picks back. Personally, I think Haynesworth is a bad example, I would liken the whole Roy Williams situation to the Jason Taylor acquisition.
