Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!

As it stands right now, we only have one pick before the 4th round. I HATE that. Sounds like years past.

I wouldn't want to be the guy holding the contract for McNabb's age-35 to age-37 seasons, but I'm that much closer now. And how quickly is he going to age behind Heyer/Williams/Rabach. Are we going to do anything to give up a chance behind that right side even after addressing the left side with the No. 4 pick?
I'm very hopeful McNabb can succeed here, but I share your skepticism. The bottom line is we as fans have been burned so many times, I simply refuse to give the benefit of the doubt to this organization anymore, regardless of the big names calling the shots.

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!

Rejoice? Nah, but not a terrible move either. We get a QB that has been pretty consistent when healthy (ha), for a 2nd rounder, who has experience in West Coast offense, who strips a chief rival of their all-time stat leader, and...lets just see if this fires up D-Mac..nothing like feeling WANTED. I mean, Philly has been trying to run him out for years...

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!

Think of all the QBs that have been rumored to be coming here via trade the past few years-Favre, Vick, Cutler, Hasselbeck-had to get rid of Vinny to finally make it happen!

sort of off-topic, but huge day in sports tomorrow-McNabb trade talk, MLB opening day, NCAA Championship game, Tiger speaks at Augusta

I think we can expect the Eagle game in Philly will be a primetime Sunday/Monday night game.

Call me crazy but if Okung is gone and #4 and there are no offers to trade back, I want Berry.

No doubt. Wow. Hadn't put that all into perspective.

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!

Skins now have options, especially if Bradford slips, to pick up other draft picks, if not Okung to protect him. Also, even if no salary cap, there will be cuts in the summer of people owed bonus and from teams who drafted players, we could still pick up some good OL to help protect. Santana, Devin, CC, Davis are much better than anything the Eagles have offered him in years.

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!

From DHall via Comcast: Says he's ecstatic. Feels we've addressed a couple of needs....at QB, now we still have a pick to address the offensive line. Feels like the team can compete for the playoffs and even the Super Bowl.

On Campbell:
Says he's grown to like Campbell, but this makes McNabb the starter and feels like McNabb has a couple of years left in him.

How Good Is McNabb: Thinks he can still move and has a great arm, can keep plays alive. Feels like he has a good 3 or 4 years left, if not more. Thinks McNabb can still get it done.

Team Overall: Johnson, Willie Parker, Clinton Portis..."say's we're getting better, I'm smiling, I'm just excited man, we're getting quality football players, guys that know about the game. I'm excited."

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!

The one thing I wonder ,if you think this will open up the #4 pick for possible trades... do you think now that we wont be drafting a quarterback (i'd have to think), that more teams will be looking to trade up if they want a QB? You'd have to think that Seattle, Cleveland and even maybe Oakland could possibly draft a QB so maybe a team will trade up with us to try to grab Clausen?
