Haynesworth is the biggest reason that Carter is on his way to a 12-14 sack season. Phat Al is a one man wrecking crew.

True, I saw some positives in this game, as well.. Like everyone else's been saying, some players stepped up in the game.. Play calling was better, I believe.. But the outcomes of this game is sorely based on O-line men.. If I'm Vinny or another GM; I would draft a left T and either right T or C.. Try to retain Campbell and sign a free agent that could push for #1 QB spot.. Also slap Rogers and Rocky with RFA tag..

Another thing, did it seem like Sellers was never in front of Portis? Was he not lead blocking, trying to not let a stop in the backfield? I don't know, I didn't watch it the whole time but Betts had a couple of lead blocks that were more impressive.

Excellent post. We need to also keep Golston and get rid of Montgomery.

Zorn just mentioned DT's broken tackle so I guess that we both remembered one.

Considering Dallas just guaranteed Ware $40 mil Albert doesn't seem like such a bad deal...and then you see our offense take the field and the oline collapse almost every play and it's really hard to justify how we spent our off-season money.

Again, I had to turn it off for a while. Was the line any better once LJ came in. Is it possible to put LJ on the left, MW on the right and rinehart at RG?

or some other combination?

Re: Believe it or not I saw some positive signs

Lol, everytime Gruden said something about the Redskins I found myself listening closely. It's almost like you're setting him up for a question like "3rd and 14 for the Redskins, so John if you were the coach of this team what would you do?" Of course Gruden hated the fact that Zorn got his play calling duties stripped away and said he would practically quit if it came down to that.

Still add some lineman, get a running game going, throw in a top notch coach and you have a very different football team. Look we have to accept that we don't have Peyton Manning at QB. We need to play balanced football with a slight lean towards a smash mouth style. Give our defense some time to rest, avoid turnovers, and control the ball. One thing I've noticed is that in any sport were pocession is up for grabs (soccer, basketball, hockey, football) the team that controls the ball/puck has the best chance to win 99% of the time.
